I want to know if you can make gains without the use of, whey protein, creatine and other such supplements, or could you just eat healthy and make gains? Or are supplements “gain” boosters? Thanks for your time.
Nope, nobody ever got big or strong before supplements.
There were big, strong people on the planet long before anyone ever heard of a supplement. If you have the inclination and the money to spend on them, they can be a great help but they’re by no means essential. Hence, the word “supplement”.
Yup!
Bobby Pandour, who died in 1920, would agree that you can certainly make gains without supplements.

Basically, yes. If your training and nutrition are in place, the right supplements can push you even closer to your goals. If the first two steps aren’t in place, no supplement will help much.
But really, today there’s almost no reason not to take advantage of at least some basic supplements, to maximize what you’re already doing in the gym and kitchen.
They’re hardly necessary.
And whey is food, not a supplement.
Thanks for your answers, I appreciate it.
I bet a lot of the pre-supplement big guys had 1.) better genetics and 2.) more knowledge as in - I expect they learned from other guys experience handed down… Now we have too much information.

More like, pre-supplement big guys 1. Eat a lot and 2. lifted heavy things.
I find the less supplements I buy the more I grow; mostly because I have alot more money around to spend on real food.
Remember Whey can be cheaper per gram of protein than any real food. That’s why I buy it.
I was about to rip you apart, but I realized, you must really be a beginner. The first step is always the most important one.

I supplement with it for the exact same reasons. Not to mention the convenience.
