God damn Nards you’re a lot bigger than I originally thought. Kudos… I’m also 5’11. You’re now in my “inspiration” memory slot.[/quote]

I forgot to mention I’m the one on the left.
But really, thanks a lot. You’re a wise old voice on T-Nation and I respect your opinion. Thanks again.

How long have you been training with the goal to put on as much size as possible?
yes I’m picking @ your brain a bit ha lol @ wise old voice…I keep myself humble and am always open to pick up a thing or two from the knowledgeable and serious lifters like yourself. Just seems at times there’s too much BS to filter through, tis the internet after all though eh =)

^^ I’ve only been bulking for about 5 months. I’m not lean in any sense of the word so I soent too much time before doing cardio and weights and sometimes eating about 2,500cals per day and I think I was spinning my wheels.
What I did was let myself eat more off that “mildly” bad stuff like double burgers and double meat on subs and cheese and red wine at the end of the day. I stuck to the big four lifts (over-head press being the 4th).
I was always about 230lbs but am now 255 ( I start started cutting for numerous reasons) but I must admit I’m not near as strong as I should be. I’m not giving any numbers but odds are they’re lower than you’d think for a damned 255lb guy.

This is a little off track, but still bulking related.
I hear a lot off guys talking about steak (i fucking love steak btw) but does anyone go for roasting large amounts of beef, lamb or pork when looking to gain?
Over here it is much cheaper to buy lean roasting meat. I know its takes a couple of hours to cook but I just shove it in the oven before I go to rugby training and its done wehn I get home.
Whats left goes on sandwiches for the rest of the week.

How’s that a “little” off track?? It’s an awesome idea as I have done it many times, but lately have just been doing lots of ground beef…got some free steak kabobs/ribs yesterday (pays to be good friends with a guy who owns a meat distributing company :)…

Do you ever use a crockpot? When I’m not lazy, I’ll chop some fresh veggies + a bottle of pickled pepperocinis in that bitch…slow cook all night and you have GOODNESS…in the morning

A little off track to the most recent posts.

I don’t have a slow cooker. I do cook similar things in an electric frying pan but I wouldn’t leave it one while I was asleep or out of the house.
I cooked a beef and veggie stew last night. Its winter here so it was great to have that smell in the house and have a warm bowl of stew.

That’s the kind of food I love for bulking…stuff mom would make.
What could be unhealthy about beef, carrots, potatoes and green beans? If I was too fat at the end of a bulk I would never blame it on the beef.
That sounds like a name for a sit-com “Blame it on the Beef”.

beef is where its at. I love it… I’ve gotta try that crockpot with pepperochinis… that sounds delicious.

You’re bigger than most of the guys here. Keep it up. Expect much hate for not being scrawny.

My “bulk pics” are in my profile…because that is pretty much all I did for most of the time I’ve been lifting.

I believe he’s referring to lifting your leg to fart.

Just a few more months to get em bigger and then I can start training biceps directly again.
