I am currently “bulking”. I have gained 20lbs in a little over 3months. Not too much in fat gain. Its been good. Routine is back/bi, chest/tri/abs, legs, shoulders/traps/abs repeat. No rest days unless absolutely necessary. I took 1 day off this week because I strained an external rotator on shoulder day. It was my first day off in 32 days. Back on it now and continuing on. Eating anywhere from 3000-3500k.
Ryan, would u mind posting ur diet
I do an IF diet just because that is the easiest for me since I am in college.
2-2.5 cups oats, 12oz meat, large salad and veggies, and an apple is the first meal
1.5-2 cups oats, 12-14ozmeat, large salad veggies and 1cup CC + PB
14oz meat, 1.5 cup greek non fat yogurt + lots PB, lots of broccoli
I also take 4 fishoil caps a day plus a multi
Thats the approximate on the diet. Some times I will cut carbs and replace cal with PB.
Its a lot of protein but I love eating meat, cc, and yogurt. Can’t help myself.

I ate a ton of oats today. Need to get some more groceries. Today’s workout kicked my ass. Intense, high volume shoulder workout. Good stuff. Weight was 204 in the gym. Obviously I had food in my belly, and was drinking a ton of water, but was still nice to see the sclae move upwards of a deuce.
Ah…this old girl. Great thread. : )
Bump dis hoe…Up about 12 lbs in 3 weeks bringing me to 205 at 6’2". Hovered around 185-190 for way too long. Finally decided to eat like a man and put on some weight and see some gains. Haven’t been dedicated to eating/training like I should have these past few years…Anyways, back in the saddle now and would like to reach 215 by the end of January. That’s wake up in the morning with stomach empty and take a dump 215, not after dinner 215.

Not trying to discourage you when you are finally doing something, but maybe you would like to slow those “gains” down? 12 lbs in 3 weeks is a bit much to realistically expect a good portion of it to be muscle gains. Unless you are completely untrained.

There’s no doubt about it, that’s not all muscle. That was my hang up for a long time, oh shit, fat! Cardio! Much of this is rebound as I’m hitting it hard again. But hey, good looking out. Trying to get as strong as possible right now, not too worried about body comp during this pig out period. Macros break down fairly well and have mainly been increasing cals via protein shakes and chicken. Steady as she goes…

Awesome! Keep us updated. Just make sure you are getting heaps stronger with every lb of weight gained. If Bench Press and Squats (or equivalent lift/s) arent moving up be worried! Also if you do pullups try and keep your reps up and not let the weight gains destroy progress on them. Ive done that before unfortunately.
Of course. Leverages are definitely more conducive to bigger weights now, always love squatting after I’ve gained some weight. I’m still keeping a “heart healthy” day, gym has a prowler or I’ll grab a sledgehammer and punish a tire for a few minutes…
Im back on the bulking train mmmk. 240lbs right now morning weight, would like to get to 275 or so for starters
May your lifts increase and your protein shits be massive. Good luck!
I’m also bulking. Did it once from 140 to 230, but it was a SLOPPY 230, and I didn’t train smart. I’m 194, hoping to be past 200 by the end of the year, but MUCH leaner this time. So count me in!
SkyNett is a fatty.
I started in early September and have been at it for the past 3 months. I’m bad about dirty bulking and putting on too much fat, but I lose weight quickly and it’s nice to take a break from calorie counting.
I’ve gone from 206 at 13% body fat to 228 at 18% or so.
My lift progress so far:
BB Bench: 270 to 305
BB Squat: 255 to 315
Deadlift: 385 to 435
I’m weak for my weight, but I plan to stick with the bulk for two more months or until I hit 240lbs since my lifts are consistently going up. I’d also like to get my squat up to where it should be (355-375).
After that, I plan to cut down to 210 and hopefully be around 10-12% body fat at that weight.

Oh man, does this thread bring back memories! This was a good one. In the spirit of the bulking thread I’ll contribute over a year later, haha. Weighed 290 at the gym today (doesn’t really count bc it wasn’t in the morning but it was still cool damnit!) but I’m really trying for the magic 300 lbs. MUST HAVE!
Good luck to everyone, keep up the good work fellas!
I have been bulking for a few months, got to 295. Went to the hospital with a bp of 180/110. Got scared as fuck sitting at 280 lbs trying to figure out where to go from here. By the way blood pressure is back to normal. Doctor said I had way to high of a hematocrit so I have to give blood once a month for 6 months. Anyone else ever had this while bulking?

I was always out of breath when I hit 220, and it took me a while to get used to it and now I can walk around campus no problems, lol, but nothing like what you mention, do you use any gear?

good to see you around still man, thats too bad about the blood pressure but maybe it will be better the next time you get heavier since your body will be more used to it? And ive never heard of that before but all the best
