Bulking Foods? Help

Easy dudes,
Iam bulking up and need to find out what sort of foods are ready to eat for like a snack/meal,
its because I work on a building site from 8 till 4 and I only get to have a half an hour dinner so is there anythink out there I can buy so I can eat while am working,
i was thinking somert like beef jerky any other ideas?

cheers

azz

My snacks are usually the following:

-Seafood snack (canned herring or sardines)
-3 Ryvita crackers
-4 dried figs

or

-1 serving Beef jerky
-3 tablespoons peanut butter
-3 celery stalks
-1 apple

Both contain approximately 20 grams of protein and 450 calories. You may want to adjust for your own protein/calorie needs.

2 scp protein powder of your choice
1 tbsp evoo
mixed in water (or milk, if you can keep it in a cooler)

At least 360cals in 12oz. of liquid, and it can be slammed down in 30 seconds if you need to. Seems like a “bulking” food to me!

That said, dieting foods=bulking foods. that is, you still eat clean foods, just more of them.

Try to get a bag of nuts. Good amount of protein and fats in a small size.

i just want to ram in as many calories and as much protein with out slowing me down or stoping me doin what am doin at work.

You don’t want to eat discriminatingly. That just means that you will pack on fat.

Decide how many calories you need and get close to 1/6 of them in each of your meals. Assuming you need 3000 calories you need on average 500 calories per meal. The suggestions already presented will give you close to that. Try to get 30% of your calories in protein. Go to www.whfoods.com for healthy ideas.

nice one

peanut butter and jelly on wheat or grain, heavy on the peanut butter.

I gained 35 pounds last year thanks to this.

cleaner ideas:
nuts
protein shakes in milk if at all possible (I love cytogainer in milk)
tuna
hardboiled eggs

less clean:
summer sausage
subs

Since you have a physical job, You shouldn’t probably cut out all of your carbs. Keep all breads as grain or wheat, if at all possible go heavy on the meat whenever possible.

peanut butter, if you have a fridge in your office

1-2% fat COTTAGE CHEESE (i eat like a tub or 2 a day) massive amounts of protein but it may cause some intestinal troubles if you’re not used to eating milk

as zephead said PB is awesome and so is everything else he mentioned

you can make your own granola fairly easily too ( i think theres even a recipe on this site somewhere) using scottish oatmeal

and theres always protein bars if you have the $

i just cook up a bunch of brown rice once a week - toss a can of tuna and some olive oil in there and it’s a quickly prepared meal.

the more the better.

milk + pb = good for gaining.

if you dont have a fridge then protein shakes with water and just sip them all day. get a dehydrator and make beef jerky? celery and PB with milk are my favorite though.

Gallon jug of water filled with scoops of protein powder; drink it throughout the day.
