Not as good as last weel gripwise but I am getting better at breathing for power. Its taken me this long to figure it out, but breathing right can for sure help bang out and bang up the wts.
Works for pain tolerance too. No wonder there are lamaz ( spelling is probably incorrect) classes for pregnant ladies. Breathe right man.

Took today and monday off for a big birthday weekend! Its a gift to mahself I do every year. So far this weekend’s been fabulous! Nothing special but the lush fun Halloween time, Mossimo walks in the beautiful autum weather, cheapie movie day to see Jurassic World…you get the idea.

That’s it so far today. …I did get up at 3am even though I am off work today…I just love the empty gym!

Word! I am stoked with the 350 today. Its been awhile since I hoisted that wt up, and today I had to remind myself to be patient!

I recalled a line of Kim Walfords advice that she once had a 20 second deadlift from floor to lock out byt it went up, be patient! And it worked! My deadlift took maybe 7 or 8 seconds but still.

Got all confused and woke up early for the gym and I wasn’t until I was there that I realized I had my days all crazy. So I just did a few zerchers.

I can now do a set of 12 push ups. Sweet!

Slept in so the gym had people in it. One particular trainer is super ignorant and just doesn’t care about anyone around him excrpt his poor client.

This guy usually sets up his clients to do things while I am actively using the same rack, really he’ll start ploppin some kinda step right inside the already loaded rack while I very briefly walk away between a set, or habe the guy moving totally into my line of movement for a lift… or directly behind me so I can’t get out of the rack unless I wait however long it takes for the poor sixty year old guy he’s making jump onto boxes…ugh he’s a total buffon. I don’t think its intentional he just is a dummy. And irritating.

You need to say something. This is totally unacceptable.

SNAP!!! Thank you for sharing my outrage, however I have seid something! I do say it to his face each time, a gentle reminder of other life forms existing but he’s a dummy and never changes. He’s apologized but it doesn’t stick! Dummy.

Also the owner yesterday was there the whole time, however was equally distracted directing someone to load 17 more plates on the leg press…I don’t like the owner anyway. He rubbed me the wrong way when he scolded me for using plates outside …so I avoid him at all costs. Just means early morning empty gym is a better option.

Yesterday I did four sets of 12 pushups!

I am super pleased with the push ups! I can visually tell the lil development in my chest and triceps!! Makes me really eager to stick with them!!!

Bodyweight movements for the upper-body are definitely an untapped resource for most women–way to go. If you are interested, there is a book out there called Convict Conditioning by Paul Wade that is nothing but progressions for bodyweight movements. Following those progressions, I was able to eventually knock out 15 triangle/diamond push-ups in one set. It’s got some cool ways to work up to single-arm push-ups and pull-ups too.

I think I have given a similar book as a gift to a friend! I can see if they still have it…who doesn’t want to do a one arm pushup… : D!!!

Back extensions, did some with a 45#. Jury is still out on using the wt or not for those. Today I felt it more in my upper back vs hammies and butt. I’m just cautious since I use the extensions kinda as post llifting rehab/repair movements…

Also mp3 battery was dead, total extra credit lifting with no headphones.

Other news, I can now do a set of 16 pushups.
