I know Z…I am an antisocial and a bit selfishly spoiled lifter! We did do a weeks worth of dl’s together, believe it or not I pretty much just do one set as of late --warm up to max Very minimal dl training the last few months for me. I also get very anxious lifting with others…its just how I am. Lone vampire lifting.

That’s it.

I guess if I want my dl to go anywhere I need to do some more rack pulls. This has helped tremendously in the past but I need to figure out where they fit into my training week I also am not really focusing on dl’s lately. Its a seasonal wave of interest that will come back but for now were in maintenance mode.

I feel a bit bloated and puffy. Could be the tons of Brussels sprouts my mom gave me for Christmas! HA HA! I’ve been having some after work in celebration of a job done.

Last fs session of the year and it was ok. Looking back on my year I have a few triumphs! Some PR"s of pounds and pr’s of reps.

My favorites for front squats are the 200x10 that took forever to get, then the 205x10, then the 215x7, then the 225x4! I loved the 225x4! HA HA!

The one and only dead lift of 370 made me close to tears of joy-really!- it’d been YEARS since I had a dead lift pr. Some others were doing push ups! A set of 33 --can’t do that now! but I did this year! And also just misc things I tried and added to my regular lifting sessions. More pull ups, better looking pull ups.

OH!!! The Anderson Zercher PR of 300! I loved that!!! HA HA HA!!!

Moss’s surgery this summer really threw me in a loop emotionally dealing with the complications that came with it and I really haven’t been as strong as I was then. Silly as it sounds my life and way to relax hasn’t been the same since! But its ok! Its just different.

I’ll get back there but I’m taking my time. I’m not in a rush! I hoep to keep trucking along as a life long lifter.

Yesterday since I had a spotter at turbo gym on the second visit I was curious about what my bench would be like. Did some sets with 95 with guidance on form and stuff, I am truly a beginner on that lift for sure and have zero experience to draw form pretty much. Got up to 125#.

There’s my quota of benching for the next decade. I won’t be doing that again. Zero interest.

Hey Z yeah…benching is not my style! Over head pressing is MUCH more appealing! And I’m excited I figured out the non-lady log press at turbo gym. I think I can figure out a way to set it up in the rack so I can do stick presses with it. I’ve been able to do small stuff the last few weeks with the log, I’ll continue to do so.

NO lifting since last year! Just EOD pull ups and push ups. I’m far too tired today from a really frantic crazy surprise overnight shifts the last two days. I’ll shift my lifting days up a bit. I know I need rest and sleep when I can’t find the pair of glasses I JUST set down!! Short term memory goes first!

I’m pleased with the carries. I was a bit distracted today for fs and loaded the bar lopsided/uneven wt plates for one of my fs sets. I did the set and realized after but still! HA!

Its going to be a long day! HA!!! I woke up at 1am raring to go…and …yeah. Here’s to today flying by at work!

Checked the Rogue site. The “lightest” duty Yoke rig they have is listed at 175lbs (heaviest is 225); I think you asked previously.

I’ll just round up, and say “Jeez, a 300lbs, rack position, yoke carry?!?”

And Rack pulls, at the knee; 405X3. I’d like to see what that looks like :astonished:
…and then buy you French Toast::)))???

I mis-read your post above; the Yoke rig IS 185lbs, I checked it out again last night. I tried it out for awhile, by the time I was done, I had several long, beautiful, red strands of hair sprouting out of my head: Weird.

Z!!! You tried the yoke!! What did you think?? It feels less wt just since its kinda low to the ground maybe, I dunno! And as for the rack pulls, my arms are quite long, so it really is minimal ROM. I still think I get something out of it and i’ll slowly at a mat under me or whatever to get more ROM there.

I put a * on the wt because turns out one of the 45# had a lil chalk “50” written on the side, I weighed it and its 50 pounds instead of 45! So it was a little more on some of the handle carries depending on the arm! Add 5 pounds on one arm I guess :{ I didn’t really notice!

Not a lot of sleep over the last 48 hours. I did couple overnight shifts–one planned and one surprise one- and scored a migraine tuesday during the day while was trying to sleep which meant not really sleeping but laying around in the dark super unconformable, nauseated, and screwed until it ended after a couple hours!

I feel a bit beat from the migraine still today but managed a lil nap after I got off work this am before lifting today. VERY low expectations for today and I think I did fairly well!

God I LOVE CARRIES!!! The 182#/arm made it click the cue to push down for the deadlift part to come up!!! I’ve never had that come into place that way, I know the cue but this time it came on it own!!! Freaking cool! Gotta keep it up! Chest up! Feet thru the floooooooo :)!!!

Not sure how you rigged it. I was thinking, you could attach to each end of a weighted/dip belt, and hang it over a rack–strong and safe like?? And don’t miss the new 25’ rope climb station that just went up on Thursday!!!
