Measured the distances of the walkway today. Yesterday’s best 347# tbar carry was a for 130 feet.
Z! No one wanted to do a pull up competition and I was all prepared to do it too! My brother in law is pretty strong…but the real surprise was being knocked out by my sister on one of the arm wrestling matches. After that I unleashed The Hammer and beat her the next time.
Woke up today ready to go at 1am. Got to Turbo Gym by 2:30.I’ll be tired later today but it was worth it. Also the first fs on a different squat rack went ok. I’m very prone to being classically conditioned so slight difference can set me a bit off. I might have been able to get some more reps out the first set if I had had my beanie off! My hot head was a distraction.

That’s it! Little session today and then blasted to King Soopers to gear up for cold defense. 9/10 of my co workers are walking around with respiratory distress and fevers and just sharing it allll over…NO THANKS!! Zinc, Vitamin C, fluids, Spinach are my first line for now.

I feel off today, not sure if its a bit of overload or hormonal or what but not quite in the right mind set. I need to take some time off work, and I will. Only thing is I have to give two weeks notice for approval.
I’m going to see if I can fin-angle a way around it…because I need it. Frazzled. Burnt out. I get that way I’m fine until the truck hits and I realize I’ve been walking with a sucking chest wound for weeks!
Oh my word; sounds like time off IS needed, and of course has been earned x10. I like to take my Weds night shift off (time to time); gives me a 3 day ‘weekend’ from both jobs. It’s paid time off, so that’s nice. I’m sure you must have a similar set up at your work.

My only complaint is the tbar at the gym’s knurling on the handles kills my hands. My own tbar is knurled too but I put elasticon tape over it so its kinder to hands. My hands get tore up fast on that tbar there.
I did some pull ups Saturday but none yesterday. That’s all I’ve done since Friday lift wise. A nice lil break.
I do feel the need to get out and walk some mileage but alas its winter! Too cold for Mossi with his arthritis and platinum plated stifle! Not as enjoyable being bundled up in 8 layers of thermals with out my Italiano beside me.
Cardio on a machine is no compassion for what a good long walkabout does for my mental well being.

That’s it! My left knee blew up a bit- swollen from fs yesterday, that or the weather so I used sleeves for dead lifts and general warmth in the gym today.
I’m being gentle on the pull ups because I think I over did it on zerchers last week on my bicep/elbow area tendons. I must protect the tendons! But the zercher carries are so much :}!!! FUN! I do think I can hold them more upright which might help as well to distribute the wt so I’ll see.
My knee sleeves are getting super loose. I wonder if I can wash them…to shrink them?? I’ll look around the interwebs to see.

I’m going to experiment maybe with um…altering ( shrinking!) them but only after I get a new pair. These ones will suffice but they are getting loosey goosey in the wrong spots and rolling up a bit.

I want to eventually get the log press mojo ingrained into my crazed weekly gamut of lifts. It takes me a while to add new things however so lil bits at a time until i get a genuine hunger for it.

COLD COLD COLD! Gym wasn’t too bad but I wore my knee sleeves just to be warmer! I really could use a nice long walk to loosen up after this workout but its not even going to happen when its 2 degres outside. I’m going to have to suffer because I don’t wanna walk on a treadmill either!
Biceps tendons feel good and set so I’ll do some pull ups today once my grip comes back.
There are a bunch of new things at the turbo gym! I took pictures to google mage search them to see what they are. I think one might be a belt squat which I’ve never tried and also am not sure if it’d even be an option for me with my specific back injury hx. I have to be careful when try stuff so I don’t piss it off. However it looks exciting cool to see!
The second one: I saw someone using it this morning. I don’t know what it’s called but you put the yellow belt around your waist and squat. Looked awkward to me.

Had a good party day fuel by Elk Meatball Power!!! I wanted to get as much in since I already know I’ll be sore today in general.
From what I’ve read up on I anticipate soreness and fatigue from the yoke. I haven’t had any wt on my back in years, but I hope to take it super slow and be very tense and flexed out for the carry itself. Once I figured my bar stance- super tight -close-hands to shoulders in my old school squat stance I used to have it was a bit less completely uncomfortable.

Grip was out yesterday so no more then the first 5 pull ups were completed yesterday. I’m not as sore as I thought I’d be from the yoke except my knobby cervical vertebrae. I’m not ashamed to made some kind of muff for the yoke so its less of a bone on metal experience. Maybe I can tape a big fluffy sheep skin onto it! HA HA!!
Or a pool noodle. :)!!!
Bottom line is I wanna use it! Probably more for cardio type conditioning use then heavy since I’m afraid. I’ll figure it out.
