Good GOD I didn’t want to lift today. This rarely happens , when I not only don’t wanna but have already mentally excused my self to have a nothing day without feeling tinges of guilt or angst.

SNOWED big time yesterday and for more than a moment thought I’d have to walk home from work instead of risking driving–there’s no way I’d permit myself to be stuck at work after I’d done my time. Every time I looked out the window at work it was a whiteout. Ended up being able to get out, but now I think I want a mental snow day to do nothing!!
I will do my push ups but its already a drag…typically I have most of them done by now but not today!
I suppose this type of thing creates discipline…but …ugh.

I did go to the gym and do back extensions and some very tiny other things…ugh…when its not 3:45am I really don’t like that place. SO many people, so many body builders to be more honest-- on a Saturday too. I won’t lie, if that was a 24 hour fitness at the same location I’d prefer it totally to the clientele. Nice enough sometimes.just…too much for me without sunglasses for the neon and tans.

The bum size has dropped by my lats have increased for sure from the push ups. Bra’s are a total hassle more then usual. All of my pretty ones I have are useless chest nooses.

OH you ain’t kiddin’ 2B. Too many folk around normal times! I discover a gym that’s 24 hours - Anytime Fitness- that is less than a mile away however WAY expensive, like $60 a month, my one now is $45 and every buck counts. No thanks. But I think I’ll get a free week pass just for funzies,

A couple weeks ago a guy ( not an employee as far as I could tell) tried to sell me on buying weird grips/wrap things in between sets while I was doing zerchers. I don’t think he understood that I was meaning to not hold the bar? He kept saying “These wraps won’t hold you back!” GOD GOOBER LEAVE ME ALONE!

I feel tons better today than I have in about two weeks! Its my weekend and I already accomplished the dreded trip to the laundry mat yesterday after work AND I managed to get a good Mossimo walk in today before we get more weather coming in.
It’d been maybe 12 days! I never realize it until I get all dumpy and over it how much the walks help me de-fragment. A chance to parade around with my Beautiful Beefcake Baby Boy is always a thrill. sigh :)!!!
I have family in town this weekend too so its exciting. I get to see my sister who has always spoiled me ROTTEN. :D!!! And she continues to do so even as I am almost 35 but to lesser but still really wonderful extent. She once “kidnapped” me and my twin when we were maybe 9 years old with blindfolds and everything .Took us away in her car to only show up at Disneyland for the day when we lived in Los Angeles. SPOILED ROTTEN.

The weather has been so off for me this season that my carries have dropped a lot and I haven’t done them constantly this year at all. I’m changing it up though and doing them more for bursts then the distance that I was aiming for in the past.
The push ups between deadlift sets really tired me out cardio wise! I wanted to do some light dead lifting since when I did it Tuesday I felt it in my hammies, something I think I’ve been ignoring is my hamstrings.I did some investigating in my deadlift flaws, and one I have always noticed is my left knee caves a bit which apparently indicates a few things and one of them can be weak bum and weak hammies. That’s another incentive to do my bum sessions. I also have diagnosed myself via the internet with a slight anterior pelvic tilt.
I’m afraid of hip thrust with a barbell–I don’t care how much anyone says that they are safe I see the movement and see my back seriously re-injuring an old squat lumbar injury. Bum work will be mostly bw and I have wild 80’s ankle wts I can use as well.
Single bw leg hip thrusters can wear you out pretty quickly.

in an attempt to get me to do more pull ups I decided to subtract the pull up reps with the push ups total goal. The 500 on my weekends is just really hard because I totally try and do them all at once and its too much. Work days its much more spread out. The whole push up experiment is totally made up anyways, just something I’d like to keep up.

Well, I guess I’ve over done it :[ yesterday when doing the push ups I really started to feel some clavicle pain, enough to stop me, so I stopped. Got about 80 in total. I think this means I’ve over done it! The rest of the day at work it was hit or miss clavicle pain for restraining animals ect, so I’m calling a week off the push ups then re-evaluating my goals after. I need that arm!
So my routine’s been thrown off and in typical fashion when this happens I get way confused all over. It manifested in a strange non-squat day today but I’m ok with it. I don’t want to ruin things with a banged up arm. So I did these fs

205x3…only three and i was ready to just not do any more. No pain holding the bar in the clean position which is a real relief but I just decied I didn;t want to do anything. I think its just a strain injury. Its sore on and off just sitting around.
The gym did get the new ghr machine which is…weird. It has some potential and I messed about on it for a bit but I would need to spend time to figure it out. In typical my gym fashion its more complicated then it probably needs to be, but at least it is an improvement on the other machine.
Might take this whole week off lifting- work week- and start up lifting Thursday. To rest and to get some angst built up to fuel the next sessions.
Ight, I’m feeling a bit better with my self diagnosed biceps tendinitis/stiffy clavicle syndrome. Pull ups have helped my tendons not feel so tight. I’ve done a few pull ups here and there this week and its felt nice. Still sore but its improving.

I figured out the machine and I like it much better then the old one. The padding on the knees is different so its not a totally uncomfortable knee cap situation anymore with a metal plate thing protruding.
Did some smith machine rows today to try them and I liked them, 4x10 that the wt means nothing about since I probbaly did them wrong but mostly right… Since the push ups are off for a while I WILL be doing rows and other things to keep the lil spindly back muscles I gained still there and some stuff for the wee baby triceps I sprouted as well

375 is my next “milestone” in my lifting history for a dead lift. Most I’ve ever done is 360 I think. Its been a while as in years since I’ve budged that so of course 361-374 would be FABULOUS, but how sweet it’d be to have a 375? Its never occurred to me to even strive for that until today. .

I am pleased with the straight shoot I got for 540 feet! I was surprised! The weather begin more predictably manageable means I can get those handles out more. I always forget just how great they make you feel after until my first walk. I LOVE THEM!
My lifting week is all screwy this week. Next week will be a more summer/outdoorsy in the field schedule that I enjoy so much. I will risk writing it down in this log should I make a liar of myself-- I’m commiting to more rowing, bb chest, triceps things on my days. More makes it sound like I do any to begin with…
