Has anyone tried the “bring in the pain” routines, and if so what were your results…thanks.
No, I haven’t & never will. WAY to confusing.
I am five weeks into both the upper and lower body Bring the Pain and I don’t find it confusing at all. I have noticed that I am getting leaner and my upper body (especially my arms) are really developing quickly. But I was really plateaued out when I started. I would like to hear about other peoples results as well.
I’ve had good results. I put 5 lbs on my three rep max on the bench though I’ve been on a fat loss diet. And I’m only on Phase III. I’m really looking forward to Phase IV when I get to really attack the bench. I’ve picked the hypertrophy/strength option, but I feel I’ve thickened up my arms and back. After this, I will try a program that I designed using Ian’s guidelines. At his seminar he gave me the confidence to trust my judgement, rather than sticking to cookie-cutter routines.
I am on the 7th week of the Chest and Back and limping programs. I am having the same nice results as Jennifer, ie, leaner and stronger in the upper body, but definitely adding size and definition to the legs.
I am actually starting week 7 of the BIG GUNS program…I don’t think PAIN is a strong enough word to describe the first 3 weeks…but it’s working, strenght has gone up and size also…might make an inch in size gain by the end…if I eat right.
