Called it. Haven’t carbed up in 9 days and feel like crap. I looked at my log and I’ve been lifting for 13 weeks now without taking a few days to back off and dieting for 6 of those weeks. Should have planned in a deload week.

On top of that, my daughter swore into the Air Force and headed to boot camp yesterday. It hit me last night, that she’s gone. Not on vacation, but gone.

And on top of that, my freaking in-laws have been staying with us since Friday when that huge storm came through and knocked out power to 114,000 customers in the area. We were lucky at my house and the lights didn’t even flicker, DirecTv stayed on, and we just had tree damage. My in-laws still don’t have power or gas. My house is too small for all of us and it’s getting to me.

On the up side, their power is supposed to be restored tomorrow night, I’m taking my son to see Spider Man tomorrow, and it’s CARB DAY! tomorrow.

30 lbs. down in 49 days.

First time doing back squats in about 8 yrs. The last two times I worked them into my routine I ended up throwing out my back while warming up with 185 lbs. The last time I had worked up to being able to do 405, and still hurt myself warming up one day. I have short legs and a really long torso. Going to take it slow and see what happens.

I’ve been doing front. There is a contest at my gym in three weeks for squat, bench, dead. I was kind of thinking about entering, and just wanted to see what I might be able to do. Turns out it’s on a Saturday and I work, but I think I’m going to squat for 4 weeks just keeping it nice and easy. If I feel a twinge, though, I’ll probably never do them again.
