I took a few pictures of myself last week to see just how fat I’ve gotten. I finally admitted to myself that I suck in my gut every time I look in the mirror. The pictures were eye opening to say the least.
I currently weigh 265lbs at 5’10". I could make some excuses as to how and why I’ve hit that point, but they don’t matter. What matters is that I WILL weigh 227lbs or less on my 40th birthday, September 28th.
Doogie, that fat will fly off in no time if you commit to doing it, and it sounds like you have. I’m on a holy-crap-how-the-hell-did-this-happen cut myself, and I got stoked looking at Collin’s results from his cut in his log and adopted some of his methods and the fat has been flying off. I’ll be following your log and I expect nothing short of total victory for your 40th B-day goal.
Overdid the sausage at the bbq yesterday, but I did avoid the buns and tortillas. Low carbs are starting to get to me. First planned cheat meal is Thursday night. Ribeye and twice-baked potatoes.
I count 129 days (18.4 weeks) to meet your goal (not counting May 22 – start day) to loose 38 pounds. That averages to about 2 lbs per week. Should be easy to hit that average early (as you’ve already demonstrated) – will get harder later – but very doable.
Definite progress.
I found myself looking up calories in steak today – 16 oz. ribeye is about 1200. 16 oz beef tenderloin is about 800. I’m a huge fan of the ribeye, but I may switch to tenderloin (if i can afford it). But then you probably aren’t counting these calories. Enjoy.
EDIT – these numbers on the steaks are wrong. Depends on the grade quite a bit. Most places serve “prime” – and ribeye and tenderloin are about the same – 16 oz 1200 cals. Sorry.
