Boilerman Wants It All

Man at work

@FlatsFarmer luckily my brother is a roofer. He really hooked me up today! I think you’re right- the job today would’ve been 2k+.

Definitely. It seems like that’s all I’ve been doing lately, haha.

View from the closet today and dinner.

1lb of 96/4 ground beef, a ton of cheese, pickled jalapenos and hint of lime tortilla chips. Awesome way to end the weekend.

That’s a serious hole! Good job handling that!

@FlatsFarmer thanks man! I cannot take much if any credit for it though haha. I just ripped the shit out and ran bundles and plywood for him.

Feeling pretty exhausted today. I think breathing in dust yesterday and working in a plating shop today, even with a mask yesterday, is fucking with being able to catch my breath. This had me gasping for air for some reason.

Also, I weighed myself after work today. Tipping the scales at 203. I’ve been eating more or less completely unrestricted for the past 4-5 weeks, so I was thinking I’d see some weight gain. It’s alright though, it’s not going to change my plan in any way.

3/4lb 96/4 ground
1 avocado
4 small scoops sour cream
Small handful cheddar cheese
Pickled jalapenos
XL wrap
Cholula habanero

I have 1lb of mild Italian sausage cooking that I might dip into after this, and eat the remainder of a pineapple I started on yesterday, then some almond butter if my guts don’t hate me too much.

Hell yeah man, nice job. Back squat chaser is a great (bad) idea as well.

Quads and traps/upper back were pretty toasty coming into this. Log press started getting intense around set 7.

Big dinner tonight, again. Same burrito as last night, with some adobo spread on it, a roll of Wegmans shrimp Po boy sushi, and also finally breaking into the piedmontese summer sausage.

I think I found my limit on how many times I can hit lower body stuff in a week. My legs were very tender coming into this, lots of clicking in my knees and some adductor pain. 345 moved slower than I would have liked, and I opted to hit one of the advanced GVT main lifting progressions instead of the 10x10.

I shouldn’t be calling this 531 and the fatherland or GVT at this point… It’s kind of a mishmash of ideas and assistance. Overall I’m seeing some positive (and slightly fluffy) physical effects, so at least it seems as though I’m pushing hard enough for growth.

An effective boilerman frankenstein program? That’s awesome dude!

It might not be as effective as DW, but I think in the long run it’ll be worth finding out if it works well enough for me to steal ideas from in the future.

I’m mostly concerned about the sustainability, haha. I’m pretty sore all over and was super under recovered for the squats yesterday.

Haven’t done an update in a while. Going to switch some things up diet wise.

I’ve been eating pretty willy-nilly lately, more or less whatever I want, whenever I want. I think that’s fine for short bursts, and I seem to have put on a small amount of weight, but I’m just not feeling great. I feel super bloated and weighed down, like I have a rock in my stomach 24/7. I honestly have almost been feeling sick… definitely lethargic and extremely tired. It’s making it hard to eat the stuff that I need in order to be in a good place for the program. I’m going to begin dialing the carbs back a bit throughout the day/for dinner and keep them in around lifting.

This should create more opportunities for snacks, lunch and dinner. I’ll be slowly tapering into the deepwater diet again in preparation for the third run this spring.
