Boilerman Wants It All

I personally notice a difference. Just “meatier”. Its so lean, which I think is what appeals to my family. Not big fat eaters.

15 minutes of work and I’m starving. This was seriously intense and my lower back and glutes are pumped beyond belief.

Alright, just reached the end of week one of BBBB. I am LIT UP. DOMs pretty much all over my body. Nice.

Lots of wrenching at work so the tendons in my arms are feeling a little tender, not as bad as usual though. Still very busy at work, just have to make this big final push to the new year.

I’m going to continue doing extra work/conditioning until I feel as though my recovery can’t support it. I know I say this quite often, but my body already feels different than it did a couple weeks ago. Shoulders feel bigger, upper back feels stupidly large and tight and my waist/love handles feel smaller. I am assuming I’m still clocking in around the high 190s/low 200s, which is fine.

Diet was out of whack on Saturday, but otherwise has been pretty spot on. I am eating 3 decently big meals a day, but I can fit more in the morning and afternoon. Gotta start packing a few extra things in my cooler to bring for post-breakfast and lunch. I’ve been hungry a lot lately which is awesome. I went apeshit on food last night, and I need to make that a regular thing. Literally the only thing holding me back right now is consistency with food.

Dinner last night was
10 scrambled eggs
8 medium shrimp cooked in butter
3 slices of bacon
Whole avocado
1/2 plate of broccoli with blue cheese dressing
4 scoops of peanut butter

If I could eat this, or something similar to this, every night I’d be on the right track.

But this also has me thinking about what Jon Andersen wrote to me during the AMA- I can stand to eat more spread out throughout the day. I need to get into the habit of eating smaller more frequent meals, and keep 1-2 larger meals every day. Some planning has to take place, but I’ll try and find a way to get it to work for me within the next couple weeks.

Week two starts on Thursday, I’ll try to get in some dips and pullups tonight and tomorrow. Maybe log viper grace as well.

For some reason I thought it was

Boilerman Boring But Big

I thought he made a program using the 5/3/1 training scheme and named it.

lol nah man, I don’t know enough about programming to be confident in building my.own program. It’d probably end up being something stupidly simple, and direct thievery from a real program.

Thanks pwn, looking forward to BtM when the time comes. It’s been on my bucket list for a loonngggg time.

2 sets no rest

Dips, bw +35lb

Squats moved fast. Did the 5x10 with 1 minute rest between sets. I think the most difficult part about today was the second plank. That definitely sucked.

Diet has still been pretty much on point. Lots of food throughout the day, the time I could do better is from 730am-11am. I’ll try to start fitting some food in there.

I don’t see an end to this progress if the food continues the way it has. I feel strong as fuck right now… Also, my quarterly piedmontese order will be here on the 18th, so I should be set through January. This stuff is like rocket fuel.

5 NG chins dead hang

Last round of giant set was db lateral raises at 25lb x 13 instead of db fly and press.

Did paused reps on all BBB work. Pretty easy main work today so I pushed the db fly and press to the limit. I was hitting super high reps the first 3 rounds, fourth round had my left shoulder feeling off so I switched to lateral raises for the last round.

Might hit some chins throughout the day. Having a bunch of friends over later for a Thanksgiving/Christmas party so the afternoon will be taken.

Deadlifts felt heavy today and hook grip wasn’t feeling right so I used straps. I felt my left shoulder caving in due to trying to compensate for lack of grip. Instead of risking anything I just completely avoided the issue. Took a look at next week’s numbers… It’s going to be interesting. Deepwater Jr.

Stepped on the scale this morning. I saw 19_ and stepped off.

Feeling bigger though, which is awesome considering I’m down at least 15+lbs from the heaviest I’ve ever been about a year ago. I’ll use these pics to track progress through the next six month block.
