Blue Anti-inflammatory

In this week’s article on Westside Barbell Club Doug Jackson refers to lifters using “some blue stuff for treating joint inflammation in horses.” Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

It’s probably Equi-tite or Equi-block, in other words horse liniment. Here are the ingredients of Equi-tite, DI water, Isopropyl Alcohol, Chamomile extract, Boswellic acid, polysorbate 80, carbomer934, rosemary oil, Methylparaben, triethanolamine and the active is menthol(3%) and capsaicin(0.012%)

Stuff works pretty good on sore tendons.

Horse Linament. Like Equibloc

not sure if its blue or not, but sounds like DMSO to me. works great for joints, but may make some stink a little like garlic.

I am not sure what the blue stuff is but there is a horse product called Sore No More that also works GREAT on humans…topically, of course. I get it at the local feed and grain store. It seems to get rid of tendonitis almost over night.

It’s an MSM gel.

It may be Absorbine Jr

I was wondering the same thing. Wat is this shit??? But anyway, has anyone tried an Anti-Inflammatory gel/cream called ‘Traumeel’ it was talked about briefly in Shugart’s interview with Dr. Ken Kinakin “Bodybuilder, Heal Thyself”. I got Tendonitis bad in my knees and need something to fix it up a bit. The Horse stuff you all are talking about sounds amazing. Cured knee pain overnight… HOOK ME UP!!! You all got any secrets on curing this tendonitis problem, tempoary fixes will do.

What do sore tendons feel like & how would they get sore?

On an former post at Dave Tates Q and A, he told a reader that it was horse linament, specifically “old blue” or “old jack” or “jack blue”, do a internet search under horse realted stores and you should be able to find it.

I work with a horse trainer and he said equi-tite aand equi-bloc were both good. Equi-bloc works faster for immediate relief but equi-tite is more medicated so probably works better for longer periods. Anyways hes bringing me some equi-tite so ill let you know how it works. He says you can buy it over the counter at any feed store.

I’ve been looking around the net for info on equi-tite and equi-bloc (not sure if it’s the “blue” stuff mentioned in the article) and the company that makes has no disclaimers on their website about human use of the product. So, I was wondering if anyone knows how safe it is to use on humans and what are the side effects?

I think maybie its blue heat, but they spelled heat heet. Maybie im just loseing my mind

i used absorbene when i ran cross country, it’s great. products made for animals generally don’t have anything on them about human use because the product classifications are VERY different. i have been working with horses for years, and have used some horse products with success. i would advise you to be careful at first with some of the linements, becuase they are pretty strong and can cause skin irritation.

Thanks for nothing you guys!
