Best Liniment?

My friend suggested to me to try some Jack’s Blue Heat a month or so back. I picked some up and really like it. It’s nice to put on my knee’s on squat days and on my shoulders when i’m pressing. I get it off of Elitefts and i’m planning on picking up some more soon. However, they offer some other lotions called Jack’s Hot Pink and some stuff call Equi-block. So i was wondering if anyone has had some experience with these other products and if they are worth trying and spending the extra cash.

Unfortunately, there arent any threads i could find about these products. And I didnt get much from the descriptions on the site. I’m assuming hot pink is “more hot” than blue heat. But for those that have tried it is it noticeable different? The description/story on the site of Equi-block just seemed like it burned.

anyways any suggestions?

p.s. didnt know where to post this here or somewhere else like the powerlifting thread. Though more would see it here.

Thanks

It’s been a while since I’ve used it, but I didn’t really think that the pink was really any “hotter” than the blue, I couldn’t really tell much of a difference.

I like the pink a lot more than the blue heat. Seems to have prolonged effect for me.

My understanding is that Hot Pink is more potent than Blue Heat. I always read about PL guys using Blue Heat, but never Hot Pink.

Try DMSO if you want something far superior to superficial irritants.

Try Absorbine. It’s technically a horse liniment, and smells heavily of menthol but it’ll take even the worst shin splints/soft tissue injury away. Collections – Absorbine

(I’ve used it for several years now and couldn’t be happier with it)

Try Mentisan…it works wonders seriously. I swear it makes me heal more quickly.
The stuff is descending from the conconctions the Incan 100 miles runners used to use on their legs…if you don’t recall, they didn’t have wheels or horses.

I’m telling you, its the best stuff I’ve ever used, bar none.
Makes me feel like I recovered faster on the real.

On the site they call it a body wash. So do you use this then wash it away? Or can you put it on like Blue heat and then just go?

You can put it on like blue heat. It’s best to use immediately after a shower as the skin’s pores will be open. I usually just rub it into whatever area is ailing. If you try it buy a small bottle and make sure you can handle the smell though. It’s a VERY potent menthol smell.

Or Blue Goo (best cheap one $5 at walmart) or Flex Power (high end, order online $20+)

I’ve used AbsorbineJr for years (same company). Jr is the version made for humans. What I really like best about it is the applicator bottle. You never have to get any on your hands. Available everywhere.

Equi-Block is what I use. I recommend it over blue heat or the pink one. I for one can’t stand the menthol smell and equi-block has the capsaicin which really helps heat the tissue up and make you forget about the original pain. Just be careful with it, it sure gets hot. Also its a good time when it reactivates in the shower after training…haha

On this Equi-Block is like using the sun itself and then you are ready to go.
