I didn’t know in which forum I should post my questions so if this is the wrong forum than I apologise in advance. For those who want to skip my background, my questions are in the last paragraph of this post.
Hello I am 23 years old and have been suffering from fatigue problems for several years now. I do not know when the symptoms started, but it must have been some were after the start of puberty. As a young boy I was very active, to the point were teacher told my mom that they thought I was suffering from ADHD. My moms opinion was that some children are simply hyper active and she choose to send me to art and music therapy instead of a doctor. As I aged I got less hyper active and some were after the start of puberty my fatigue symptoms started. Also around the age of 11-13 I became fatter. Al do I was not overweight, according to my BMI I was very close and I definitely didn’t have abs.
I wanted to have a body like my heroes, Sylvester in Rocky 4, Jean Claude van Damme in street fighter and of course Goku and all the other Z fighters from dragon ball Z. I started to experiment with training and dieting. I followed several diet and training programmes spread over several years. The result was that from roughly age 16 to aged 20 I went from 80 kg, 176 lbs, to 62 kg, 137 lbs. At 62 kg and 181 cm, 5,9 ft, I felt skinny had no six pack and didn’t look the way I wanted to look.
So I switched gears and tried to gain some muscle. Spread over a period of 3 years I tried a lot of different training and dieting programs. I gained weight until I was 97 kg, 213 lbs and according to an electric scale I had 23% body fat. Personally I think it was closer to 20%. Currently I am losing some weight with an Intermitted fasting approach and am down to 91,2 kg, 201 lbs.
The thing is no matter what diet and training program I follow, from roughly age 16 until now, I always have to stop some were between 2 and 5 weeks in to the program because I get extremely tired and if I keep pushing it I will always end up sick, usually flu like symptoms that can last from several days up to more than a week. Be the way I always feel tired even if I don’t train at all.
Until now I always assumed that I had done something wrong. I thought maybe I have to sleep more (even do on averages I get at least 8 hours and most of the time 9 hours of sleep a night), maybe I need a healthier diet, maybe I need a program with less volume, maybe I need less frequency, maybe I need to split my body over more day?¢??s, maybe I need to eat more calories ( even do I have followed diets with up to 4000 plus calories a day). But so fare nothing worked, so I did what I probably should have done a long time ago and went to the doctor.
The doctor suspects that I suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome. If this is the case according to my doctor the only thing he can do is send me to a psychologist who can learn me to accept the fact that I am not going to be able to do everything that I want and to learn how to better managed my fatigue. To be certain that there is no other cause for the fatigue the doctor has order several blood test to check my health. I got my blood work back with the message that I was healthy. Upcoming Friday I have a appointment with my doctor to discuses the results of my blood work.
I would like to know if the test from my blood work bellow are enough to conclude that everything is normal. I would also appreciate any thought on what could be the cause of my fatigue and what I could do about it.
My blood work ( blood was taken at +/- 10:30 am,I was fasted):
