Well, your post about your bodyweight was pretty depressing. You think the healthy eating was the cause? Not to be an ass, but I hope in the future you check up on your weight at least once a week. I’ve kind of thought this whole time that you’ve been getting weaker, but you also realized that and posted about it. What’s your plan now? [/quote]

I actually checked up on it again the other day and I was 233… so im not really sure what happened that day, maybe it was just water weight.

I don’t have a scale, so I try and use one as frequently as possible.

As far as my strength levels, im pretty sure it’s due to the way ive been training. When I was doing 5-3-1 and westside barbell, if I had two chest days it would really effect my strength. And since I have two now, with an extra back day, im sure that’s brought it down even more.

For right now im gonna stick to the way ive been training. If I dont see any decent kind of gains in the next 6 months im going back to powerlifting.

2-22-11

Upper back

Lat pulldown: 6x12

V-bar pulldown: 4x12

Straight bar cable rows: 5x12

Rear delt raises: 3x12

Some cable and hammer curls… boring day.

Holy crap, 18 lbs is a ridiculous fluctuation. I’ll keep being that outside eye and see if I can’t yield any insight since I’m not as close to the situation.

Alright thanks man… im not the smartest guy when it comes to training so anything will help.

Did some shoulders and a little bit of incline work.

2-25-11

2 plate x 12

4 plate x 12
5 plate x15
5 plate +25 x 8

V-bar low:
Did something like 5 sets of 12-15

DB curls:
20x12
25x12
30x12
25x12

EZ bar curls w/arm blaster:
20x12
30x12
40x12
50x12

This was a kickass workout, it made up for the last few weeks. Weighed in at 239 even today, feelin good.

2-27-11

2-board bench:
135x5
185x3
226x2
255x2
275x2
295x2

Wide grip half reps:
135x12
155x12
165x12
175x12
185x12

Dips: 6, 6, 5, 5, 4

Some tricep shit.

Great workout. I think I could have done more but I cut it short there. Gonna go a few more weeks at the 2-board, and then do somthing else… im not sure what.

3-1-11

Upper back

Lat pulldown: 5x12

V-bar pulldown: 5x12

Straight bar cable row: 5x12

Called it there, ok workout. Not really fond of these workouts since they are very, very boring.

3-3-11

Shoulders/upper chest

BB military press:
barx12
65x12
85x12
115x10
135x10
145x8- kept hitting the side of my power rack, had to stop
155x6

DB military press:
25x12
40x12
50x12
55x12

Side raises:
10x12
15x12
20x2x12
25x12

20x12
30x12
50x12

DB incline:
25x12
40x12
50x12
60x12
70x12
75x8

I messed around on incline with the BB and flys for a while… didnt really get anywhere, I was so tired from the workout I could barely move any weight. Im gonna mix it up on thursdays a bit… ever other week ill be starting with my shoulder workout, and leaving my pressing till the end. I feel like I havent been training the shoulders enough the last few months.

3-4-11

Deadlift:
135
225
315
355x3
405x8- Not bad, I think I had another two in the tank, but I was about to puke

Underhand BB row:
135x12
155x12
175x12
185x12
205x12
Getting really strong at these

Cable row: 6x12

Solid workout, no biceps because I have to get to work. Might do some when I get out.

3-7-11

Flat bench:
135x6
185x3
225x3
245x1
265x4
2-board
275x3
295x1-failed on 2nd

Fucked around with some random grips and reps afterwods, then finished with 5x5 on dips

I. Hate. Benching.

Here’s a picture of me at 6’3 240 pounds (last time I checked)

And here’s a pic of my right side. You can see how the right side of my chest is more developed. Im putting up the pics because my goal for 2011 is to make them proportional. And yes, im fat and proud.

Beyond the obvious bench hating how have things been going?

Ok I suppose. I don’t have that much motivation to lift anymore, im getting in the work but I feel like I could be doing so much better if my head was in the right place.

Once spring is here and I can throw ill be more relaxed/motivated to lift.

3-8-11

V-bar pulldown: 6x12

Lat pulldownL 6x12

Straight bar cable row: 5x12

rear delt flys:
10x12
15x12

55x12
65x12

I heard that Uconn track is doing very well, have you been training disc at all this winter?

Our indoor squads been killing it, but we’re pretty much done now as far as championship meets go, NCAA’s are this fri/sat and then the outdoor season begins. I’ve been throwing quite a bit this winter, 2-3 days a week plus lifting 4 days a week. Its into a net though so i dont know how far they’re going. hopefully some of this damn snow will melt so i can go outside and let em fly
