Biggest Dumbbell in Your Gym

Currently at Fitness first where they go up to 50kg, but moving to a nearby Golds at the end of the month where they go up to 50kg but then have one set of 60kg and one set of 70kg.
I’ve never managed to bench more than the 46kg DBs though.

 1. I don’t have dumbells… Just a bar, a rack, a bench and plates. I haven’t used one in around 3 years now, it never stopped me. I wouldn’t spit on them if I had some though…

Our rack goes up to 150lbs…then it jumps up to a set of 200lbs.

What do you guys think is an adequate weight for the heaviest d-bell in your gym?

I’m looking at a new place and the max d-bell is 120lbs. This might stop me from joining.

100 pounds at the YMCA. I guess i should feel lucky they even have that

180lb all metal db set, 200 in the rubberized db set. They have two full sets one all metal one rubberized with fat grips both have multiple pairs in all weights below something like 85lbs… ( but what I’m excited about is that we went from 1 power rack to 7 this semester…)
you lucky %^&*
where do you train?

I have two gyms on my base, the good one has up to 125lbs and the crappier one has 150lbs.

125 boo! but I only ever see like 4 other people besides me who could ever use them

160

Hundies @ school gym
140s @ local gym

125s

150s

Yeah mine goes up to 160 as well and mines just a regular Gold’s.
Ditto. In a rich part of town even.

115 lb

They go for 5 lb increments for every one, but only skip 110 lb for some reason…

Never seen anyone use it except for myself. For rows. Woot.

Well, i think my gym wins this…Strong and Shapely in East Rutherford, NJ, we have 250lb dbs, and 5lb increments starting from 5lbs straight up to 250lbs, thast one set of dbs which are all metal…than there are the rubber coated Dbs taht range from 5lbs to 200lbs…and than we have 3 other sets…but the main point here is that S&S has 250lb dbs.

IronWarrior

Just filled out a survey at my uni gym today and where it asked for suggestions for equipment, I put a pair of 120 lb DBs and another squat rack.

Let’s see if my prayer gets answered.

The golds I go to has DB’s up to 140. Used to be 150 till some dumbass broke them. I have a set of olympic DB handles that I can make into 211.2lbs though.

60kg, 132lbs

130 lbs. @ my university gym
