That first video of WSM was an Australian strong man against Magnus Samuelsson who was a arm wrestling world champion before he went to strongman. I seem to remember them saying the break was caused the the force being applied by the Aussie and Magnus’ arm just not moving. It would be like like trying to arm wrestle a fixed steel beam !!!

I have before! Hahaha
It was an awesome walking around with the partners little sister until a group of kids came up and asked “Hey, are you Jason Voorhees?”
They didn’t even know what mad max was
That’s not the kind of Australia I’d want to live in. Children definitely need to watch Mad Max.
The wasteland is starting to sound better and better as I get older.
I’d say a large majority of people now wouldn’t even classify Mel Gibson as Australian anymore
Disowned, so to speak ![]()
It would just be a video of me taking out my contacts and screaming, haha.
Haven’t really been logging too much this last week but FWIW ive dropped volume and gone back to strength
Will start logging again after tonight’s session but I think the 531 that I mentioned by eliteFTS seems to be the winning ticket until I eventually get a coach of some sort
My weight was slowly dropping but it’s kinda just sitting around 130kgs which I’m happy with
Next year is wedding year so a little cut will be in order around it but calorie wise, I’ll be in around the 48,52K which will still leave me hungry, but not enough to make me too pudgy
I’ve aimed to take in 250g of a meat variety per meal, but for the last 2 week’s I had a mind blank and have been eating 250g cooked weight, not raw which has bumped them up considerably higher then what it was before - idiot -
FWIW I’ve found on average cooked meat weighs 65% of it’s raw weight. Divide by 65 and multiply by 10 to get the raw weight.
I have always just gone 200g was about 144g cooked, I didn’t know of that conversion
That’s 72%, so not too different
48000 -52000 k calories and it’ll leave you still hungry! Jez the giant needs his calories ![]()

I found a USDA meat chart for just about every meat I’ll eat and it lists the cooked weights for various cooking methods. The average ends up being about 67-73% for everything so I typically go with the 2/3 conversion (67%) on everything.
Sunday PM
Did some squats, deads and volume
Warm up
4x20 4 plates leg press
Deadlifts
2x10 snatch grip deficit 80kg
2x10 deficit 120kg

2x10 80kg SSB squats
Nice, easy, everything moved smooth, the time off was great.
Was excited to get back Into it, the volume phase made me very worn down so I think the 2 weeks was just what I needed
Sounds like a great little workout. Nice job
Thanks mate!
Lots of volume big J. Nice workout
nice
The nutritional values on packs are usually for the raw product though, right? So if you weigh it pre-cooking what’s the need for the conversion?
Hey Big J you all good ?
