Looks like it. Delts seem a little thicker too.

I’ve decided I will no longer do true pulls in my school gym because of the footwear policy.

Looking big.

Assuming you mean your not allowed barefeet? I would personally either use chucks (as I did forever until switching to barefoot recently) or get some of them vibrams.

they can tell if you’re wearing black ankle high socks vs vibrams? I pull shoeless at my gym all the time and used to squat shoeless.

you big beefy bastard you.

btw do you shave your calluses?

Yep. I think I’ll just stick with different variants. It’ll let go harder and longer at the structural assistance work without the fatigue of having pulled prior. SLDLs, banded leg press, heavy rows, etc.

I don’t. I’ve had callouses peel or chip a little bit before but never any torn off. I think I’ll put more work into managing them. The dermis over the affected area is thick enough to wear there is little irritation, so it should be healed over before I pull again. I don’t think it’ll interfere with any other lifts.

No benching today. I’ll just do some pushups in my room and play around with some back and ab work using my new bands.

I’m thinking I want to hit a heavy incline this week.

yea man, it definitely pays off to shave them down every few weeks. I use a safety razor and get just about even with the rest of the skin on my hands. bonus: my gf doesn’t complain about my paws anymore.

Season 2 looks pretty damn good

old but idc

I had those problems throughout school. My solution was to coast and never perform as well as I could have because it didn’t matter and I still did better than average.

Don’t be like me.

LOL yeah. As an astrophysics major, I’ll have to meet a standard which far exceeds the average. I’m just going to have to apply the “commit to the pull” proverb to my work. No slack until shit gets done. UGH!!! What did you study bro?

I’m going to put even more effort into physical development. Each rep is an opportunity.

I did English Language and Communication. A small field so the standards were low (compared to mine)… I also think my profs were coasting on the reputation of my uni.

Astrophysics sounds much more fun though, I think I’d do a harder science if I went through it again.

I started treating (trying to anyway) my reps like that a while back… Makes a big difference to the intensity of your sessions when you get it right.

Hopefully I will come out with a 2/1… but a 1st would have been EASY if I had put in the work and I also wish to go back to Uni and study something like nutrition in the future.

Yeah once I get through the initial suffering and my brain adapts. It’s going to be worth it. I love the stuff as well as the idea of doing it for the rest of my life. The median pay ain’t too shabby either.

Indeed. Sessions like that are far and few between. If I can make that level of intensity a mainstay whilst improving my work capacity, I will transcend beast mode to God mode. Dat demigod status.

What’s a 2/1?
