Cheers brah

Heavier squats today and with any luck I’ll be pulling against bands as well.

His DL is insane, not many guys can walk into Stan Efferdings gym and copy his “chalking 700 on the plate” and get it easily. Having a 700+ dl if a lifetime goal of mine.

I’m considering not squatting today and just doing an old school deadlift session. Like Bob Peoples old.

Aha, nice. Still, pretty strong for a CGBP.

I admire your controlled chaos style of training. Has never worked for me, but you my friend have it down to a tee.

There’s always more weight to be lifted

Appreciate it. It just comes naturally to me.

Deadlift
against bands; all beltless
bar weight/approximate top resistance
155/395x2x3
200/440x2x3
220/460x2x3
250/490x2x3
280/520x1
280/550x1
310/580x1
345/615x1
365/635x0,1 default PR

NOTES:

  1. This was the first time that I’ve pulled against bands and it was great.
  2. Everything was FAST. A few technical issues here and there, but they will be fixed.
  3. This was the first time I’ve been able to pull sans shoes in a while and that felt great as well.
  4. I missed the banded 365 the first time because I tore off a really thick callous during the previous set. I tried wrapping it with a paper towel to leave a barrier between the skin and the knurling, but the offset to my grip distracted and me and I didn’t break from the floor. So I just got a band-aid and duct taped over it and got it.

Pullups & Band Rows
I alternated between these for about 10 minutes or so. Just a little back work.

SUMMATION:
Today was great. That is all.

I see more updates in this log’s future.

here’s a laxed pic for the peeps

I might be benching later today. Not sure.

Hardly any soreness today
