I don’t think you used “cutting your losses” correctly.
But do a meet.
Then eat meat.

Cutting my losses as in shifting time that could be spent building a base to focusing on a meet

LOL at you acting like you haven’t built a solid ‘base’

I need moar
I like last week’s setup. I’ll emulate it this week and continue it through the C/P program. Upper sessions should be pretty linear. Undulate squat intensities somewhat to accommodate all the deadlift volume. I’ll increment lower body volume throughout program slowly. Legs don’t need much so we’ll see how it goes. I should pretty much go for broke this summer as fall semester will be more serious so training will lose a little focus.
Squat
135x3 catastrophe struck
225x3
315x3
365x3
415x2
465x1 beltless PR
515x0 FUUUU should’ve had this
NOTES:
So I went in and started squatting with 135 in my jeans to see if I wanted to change. Went for the 3rd rep and BOOM!!! I know that sound all too well. I racked the bar and checked my jeans. HYOOGE rip. I had to ninja to the bathroom and change. I really liked those jeans.
After 315, I decided to forgo my belt and keep it beltless as my hips were feeling tight and a lot of weight was sure to ruin my session, so I decided I go for a beltless PR of 500+.
I blew it. I could’ve had it but I didn’t adjust my mindset. The descent was slow. Much slower than I usually go. When I squat normally, I descend a lot faster and get a little rebound (not as much as someone with a narrower stance but rebound nonetheless). That rebound cues my drive. I essentially missed my chance and I realized it the moment it happened. I let the weight beat me. I walked out the 515 and it felt really heavy on my bad. I should’ve fought for it. I would’ve won, but I got so caught up in staying safe. WEAK!!! Next time, things will be different. I’ll crush this and then some.
Banded Leg Press
4PPSx8
6PPSx8
8PPSx8
NOTES:
This apparatus can probably only hold 9PPS with the bands and 10PPS without. Definitely felt like more resistance than the leg press at school.
Will work in slower negatives.
Front Squats
Nothing much to report here. Just a few singles with a cross grip. Getting a feel for the movement.
Shrugs
used straps
315x8
405x8
495x8
NOTES:
These felt so uncomfortable lol. At least it feels like I did something now.
Angry Standing Abs
the name says it all
One-arm CB Muscle Snatch
took some curls and lifted them overhead from the floor
went 50,60,70,80,90 (once per arm)
NOTES:
These were always fun. Gives me ideas for later.
Seated Rows
double-D handle
2x15
SUMMATION:
I hated today. I was hungry the whole time. Performed like shit. Felt weak and awkward. Disappointing and disgusting. Far below my standards. No more.

Hated? You hit a beltless PR man thats gotta count for something no?[/quote]
Numbers are always true, but I don’t like feeling the way I felt today.
