I’m slightly confused about the deload week for the Beyond 5/3/1 program that is posted on TNation. Where do you put the deload week in? In the breakdown it says to follow the principles of 5/3/1 which would put in at week four but it seems that it would fit better at week 6.
Also, do you want the deload week to follow what next weeks lifts would be at a 40-60% 3x5 or another rep range/set of lifts?

I ran through each week before I posted and did a search to see if it mentioned deload anywhere and couldn’t find it. So, I’ll just take week 5 as the 5x5’s w/ 60 seconds rest as the deload weeks before upping the training maxes or the next 5 weeks. Run it like it’s written.
jtbrown0511. My book is somewhere in between Italy and Texas on what could a 6 to 12 week transit. Right now I’m sitting at week 4. Thanks for the advice though.
