Betty Strong

I had a busy weekend out and about.

But it ended with BOTH our kids having a sleepover at a friends. Date night! I love kid swapping, lol. We took her kids Saturday night.

Saturday we went to this local riverfest thing. And yesterday we went out to the airshow, where I almost melted. A lot of sun and not enough sun screen. It was an ok time. Probably the last air show we’ll see for awhile. Who knows where we’ll be next year…

Then we dropped the kids off at there friends. came home, rested…then went for mexican…I chowed DOWN!! oh man. Hubby talked me into sharing a margarita(no he didn’t, it was my idea) and I ended up drinking most of it. I’m not a drinker, like hardly ever.

I came home and basically passed out. I was roasting from my sunburn, tired and tipsy.

Time to hit the gym though!

pumping water on an old boat…

Alexus- no , I haven’t tried foam rolling it. I guess I could? interesting idea, lol. Sounds funny because it’s right on a joint, deep within it feels like. That would be like foam rolling the shit outta of my knees hoping they get better. I wish!!

yeah, it does sound odd. sometimes i think the location of pain gets referred a bit… like how some people with knee pain find relief from releasing their lower quad just above the knee on the inside and / or the outside. you might find that the pain that feels to be in your elbow is caused by tight muscles in the lower part of your upper arm and / or the upper part of your lower arm. of course you might not… but not a lot of cost in having a dig around…

You’re really going for it with the workouts. And it’s obviously showing! Love the pics.

You’re looking so strong, woman!

Bike hell, lol!

just catching up from a long busy weekend. Had to cart my hubby around this morning as he got his wisdom teeth pulled. No gym time…

But I got my cardio in this evening at least.

2 min warm up bike
3:30 bike hell
2 min catch breath
2min intervals/6x
1 min rest in between

TOTAL: 26 minutes

Crunches- 4x25(just cause)
some reverse hypers

Food was totally off today as well. whatever.

1115am- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
almonds

1230- cream of wheat

crap…no wonder I’m starving!!!

430- mixed greens

7am- meatballs, zuke, onions and mushrooms

830- probably cottage cheese

you ate crap?

Well I guess cream of wheat could be counted as crap, whatever it is. It sounds vile.

How are you finding the bike hell, Betty?

x2?

hows the bike treatin ya MiMsy?

It’s not that i thought I ate crap, but that I ate crappy. Just off, not enough food.

The bike thing is interesting. It’s a challenge thingy that I could actually do. And I’m all about keeping/building muscle, so why not?

The first time I did it, I was lowering resistance faster than I am now. I can crank out 1:30-2min at level 15 before lowering. The trick isn’t to go as fast as you can but to make it as hard as you can and lower resistance to match your fatigue.

We’ll see. Now that I said I’m going to do it, I gotta stick it out!! I know no one is holding a gun to my head though, haha!

very boring not feeling it kind of training today.

I don’t think I am going to have ‘leg days,’ anymore, hmph. Will do a couple moves for legs each time I hit the gym though.

Nothing to really write home about. I did however max out the bike hell at level 20 for 3:30. Not sure whats up, but level 20 didn’t feel any harder than level 15.

Next time I try it on the spin bike evil grin

Your legs have enough mass to them that I think you could get away with this, for sure. In fact, hitting them a little bit each time might be better off since they might not be used to it. Plus, with your biking now that burns the legs up good.

Spin bike? NO WAY!
