gym time was blah. But I like to start the day off doing something and the air quality is horrible out. There is a swap fire burning out of control down in northern VA and the smoke is reaching here.

  • straight arm pulldowns
    pushups to bench

-3 way cable presses- 4 sets
~down in front of legs- 10 reps
~ take a step forward, out in front(max reps)
~ straight out like a db press(max reps)

Single leg leg ext- 4x10
stopping short of where my knee wants to hyper- extend.

Can’t even squat down to a bench without hurting. I tried. A few times. vewwy sad. And now my knee hurrrrts. We went to check out BJs(a wholesale club) and I could barely walk…bangshead

Now off to a new restaurant in town…Texas Roadhouse. I expect to have a delicious steak.

Ugh, I feel for you. I was talking to an instructor at the gym who has just got over a hernia surgery (he’s quite young) and he said he developed bursitis suddenly and now can’t squat at all. I hope your knees improve soon.

I had terrible trouble with mine in the past. I remember one of them locked up completely for a time and I had to go down stairs one foot at a time because I couldn’t bend my leg. It got better, though - I’m sure you will too. It’s frustrating while it lasts but most of these setbacks are temporary.

I think I need an MRI to see if I would qualify for these shots the PT was telling me about. Its a series of 5 shots and its supposed to help regenerate the cartilage back to somewhat normal. She said from the sounds of my knees I have little cartilage left and the grinding is the bone on bone action.

I also have to mention these heart palpitations to my Doc. They start earlier in the day(like now) and last til bedtime. I should probably cut out the caffeine completely and see what happens. noooooooooo!!!

Nice work. I really hope your knee gets better but am now a little worried because my left elbow always grinds (I broke it when I was 2).

If I worried about every bit that made grinding and popping sounds, I’d never get out of bed.
Betty, hope you get your shots. You’re doing well to train around it (and the thyroid). I really hope you get your health issues ironed out quickly.

We’ve got some Texas Roadhouse’s around here, they’re pretty good. It’s funny, because I think they originated in Indiana or something like that.

I wasn’t too concerned about the grinding either until it started to cause me pain and limit my ROM and daily activities. Plus restrictions of not being able to do the things I want to do…(jumping, running, squatting, etc). We’re talking both knees, btw. yay me.

Iron- it’s probably a bit of arthritis? My elbows crinkle too. And one of em is a biotch and does not allow me to do some oh pressing movements. I think it’s from carrying my daughter on my hip for two years.

Hey Ink! ROADHOUSE!!! pretty good eats but don’t know what the big whoop was. It took us 80 minutes to be seated. 45 minutes of it we waited at home.

Hey, guess what. I think I figured out my heart palpy situation. VIT B overdose. yep!

June was right around the time I started taking a separate B vitamin complex thinking it would help my symptoms until I got my thyroid meds.

My multi vit has b-vitamins on top of my beloved Rock stars. Oops. Easy fix though. Just stop taking the b vitamin and probably find a different energy drink.
