Having said all that, I will still ask about the Lyme thing. Sounds scary. Glad your Mom is ok now PMPM!!! Have you ever been tested for Lyme?
[/quote]
I’ve never been tested, but I’ve never had any symptoms. I’ve just got a combination of low-intensity hashimoto’s, laziness, and clumsiness.
Betty I’m so excited to hear about your knee rehab! Boy, do I know about that. Keep on working through the challenges. I know you will reach your goals.
i could be remembering wrongly… but i think Lyme disease needs to be indirectly tested for (to see whether the body has had an immune system response or something like that) as there aren’t any direct tests for it… not sure…
i need to be pretty careful of my knees, too, since they try and compensate (in bad ways) for my relatively immobile ankles / feet. i’m finding that in my own case releasing the ITB seems to help me most with my knee issues. and rolling down low on the adductor by the knee. sorry to hear you are having such knee troubles.
Poor knees, maybe there is something to being a cyborg, at least you can replace parts easily.
ya, F my FN knees!
I’m excited for next week cause I start working with a pretty cool PTA…she’s a strength and conditioning coach AND personal trainer. She’ll help to squat and sprinting and all that good stuff soon, once again…I know it!!
Training~
backwards walking on treadmill- 5 minutes
shoulder warmers
Lat pull down, 4x8
I must disclose that I got this training from one of the workouts from the Indigo bootcamp thing.
~ med ball oh throw- 5reps
~ kb oh press- 10reps
_3 times, little rest
Triset…no rest
KB front raise- 10reps
kb oh press- max reps
kb upright row- max reps
did not count max reps, just kept going to failure
-repeat 3 times-
Active rest- top half squats ![]()
Triset***
seated lat raise
front raise- max reps
clean and press- max reps
Three different range of motion cable pulls
~Biceps- 3 trisets
Cable rope curl- 10 reps
straight bar curl- 10 reps
hammer curl, max reps
Been focusing on the squeeeeeze of my parts. Really don’t need a lot of weight. And I think I’ve been hyperextending my elbows as well…like locking out TOO hard. I concentrated on not doing that today and shoulder/elbow were just fine.
Treadmill- 15min
5 minutes backwards
I think the walking backward thing works the booty. And I’m feeling my hip flexors from doing those standing leg raises the other day.
That sounds like a lot of work! I might try the backward walking but I’m afraid I’d fall on my arse and look like a fool.
start slow…I started at 1.3 and worked my way up to 2.3 today ![]()
It’s definitely different!
I’ve even taken to walking backwards up and down my stairs, LOL! Only cause I can’t bear to feel the crunch every time.
My ‘mock-sghetti.’ ![]()
1lb ground venison, 1 zucchinni, 16oz of cabbage and 1/2 cup tomato sauce. Add your own favorite seasonings and voila! It’s allll in my belly right now.
Tomorrow I will try with spaghetti squash!

That looks really good, have you made it before and have you used ground turkey?
Yeah that looks like slammin! The spaghetti squash is new to me…what is that like?

It’s good, a hint sweet in my opinion, not sure how it would be as a sub for pasta for spaghetti, but good nontheless.

It’s all about tricking your brain. When/IF you can’t have actual pasta, then you gotta do what you gotta do! ![]()
Oh I’m going to try this one next:
I’ve used ground turkey and regular lean hamburger. Venison is what I had on hand…
