If I used being fatigued as an excuse, I would never make it to the gym.
Another crappy nights sleep. fml
Thinkin about skipping labs next week and just asking the doc to up my meds NOW.
yes, try the MEATZA!!! :)[/quote]
Go with labs, take care of the thyroid thing properly. It’ll save a lot of issues from happening again.
How much caffinne you getting?
Do the kiddos naps? I think you should have a mandatory nap time, makes a world of difference.

ok, Mommy, I will.
Caffeine? A lot…probably too much but I can’t help it.
2-3 cups of strong coffee in the morning. a rockstar on the way to the gym
And 2-3 cups in the afternoon.
Kids napping? Only when they are sick or my daughter is being extra cranky. Quiet time has always been mandatory.
Thanks MT and Dasher…this really blows.
I was feeling a bit better the first week but now feels like I’ve hit that wall again. Insomnia is not helping or could be another effed up symptom of whatever is going on.
I kicked my own ass at the gym…so tired. my brain is really fuzzy now…wahhhh. Life marches on. Gotta go out and get some back to school shopping done for the kidlets. First day back is on my birthday!
I did some body-weight circuits and bike sprints
4x10
ball rollouts
diamond push ups(on knees)
inverted rows
wide push ups
oblique crunches
3x15
bridges(heels on bench)
lying leg raises
sumo squats(wiiiide…only working the middle half)
seated leg raise, foot turned out
v- ups
Bike sprints on the spin bike… <3 <3
5/30 second sprints with the resistance cranked up.1 minute catch breath
…I really like the spin bike cause you can ‘climb,’ like a regular outdoor bike. And it gets you right in the bootay.
Sounds like a good session. I find it inspiring how you push yourself even when you feel like crap.
I may resort to spinning soon if I can’t run. But my crotch finds it uncomfortable. Bah.
awww, thanks Cal.
Don’t know if it’s being stupid or stubborn.
The pounds come on so easily for me, I think I have a phobia of not exercising in fear of gaining weight. Even if I feel like I only have one ounce of energy left.
It’s actually not so bad once I get moving. Its the crash after ward that is pretty harsh.
Food today–
730-9am- coffee
930am- almonds
1pm- meat pie, mixed with 1/2 cup lima beans
lima beans?! I don’t know…got the taste for em the other day…and guess what? The kids LOVE them!!! weirdos.
Oh and they like the MEATZA! too…
Trying to keep the carbs at 100/day and slowly cut as the months go by to get SHREDDED!!!
(ya, right)
But really…if you go all out ketogenic like what do you have left when you plateau? In the past I would have cut fat AND carbs(thanks RFL!) right off the bat. It works to blast pounds quickly for sure.
But I owe it to myself(and my thyroid) to do this right.
Hate feeling sleep deprived, I wish you plenty of zzzs. Not sure how you cut fat and carbs. When im low on carbs i up that fat. But to get a good nights sleep the carbs are the only thing that helps.
You still kick ass when you can, so win/win !
Mimzy - Sorry to hear about the knee. And the fatigue going on. I’m looking forward to hearing about your labs. It does sound like your medication needs some tweeking, or it takes awhile to feel the effects? You started some thyroid meds a while ago, right? I can’t remember how many weeks.
I have to wonder about the thyroid/fatigue/no sleep/ lots and lots of coffee cycle. I’m thinking the coffee is your way of self-medicating the fatigue thing and you are going to need to wean yourself off. At least down to maybe one or two cups a day?
Keep on keeping on girl. Your persistence despite all the medical stuff inspires.

Hey there kiddo!
Stay positive.
Now, if you’re going keto, you may want to consider making it cyclical. I’m not sure the ‘active’ person can go too long on a plain KD. It does get brutal near the end of the cycle and if you’re sluggish to begin with then it might not be the best option. Have you thought about carb cycling?
Kalle!! The meatza link is the 3rd post from the top of this page…TRY IT!
Ironcross- not really. but there not many carbs that I eat before training that agree with me. I like the energy of nuts…hehe
Ppuff- thanks for stopping by. I would think as soon as I get this sorted I won’t need so much. Never used to! I started meds about three weeks ago. I felt the results after just a few days but then started fizzling out again. I get new labs next week…
UPscale~ heyyy! yep, thats the rapid fat loss diet. Works to blast pounds when desperate. I was desperate
Thanks ddot! I do my best…
And I was just saying when people start out dieting by completely ditching carbs, what do they have left to work with? Just like that cardio article the other day. You gotta leave some tricks up your sleeve!
So I think the sleeping gods are playing a mean trick on me.
I broke down and took some sleepy time pills last night, ended up staying up too late and my daughter came to our room AGAIN at around the time I start waking and having trouble getting back to sleep.
you know when your hand or foot is asleep? Thats how my brain feels…
