Oh no, Not that!!!

Any sprinting is good.

Just keep moving MiM!

I have some very fond memories of ladies in the Navy from my time as one of Uncle Sams Misguided Children. That degree has to be useful somewhere on base.

Ah decisions decisions. I’m in a bit of a run around myself now. I’m having to do some deep soul searching (as they say) but I don’t want to just jump into anything, I’m getting too old for wasting time. I want something meaningful and lasting.

2busy- I just meant that any form of running, jumping, etc hurts my knees…
But actually those sprints didn’t hurt the next day so that’s good! Just hurt while I was doing em and on my walk home.

Joe- I’m intrigued…I can only imagine though
I was a good girl while in. Then again, I was pretty much married from the get go, ha!

Minimal- my sentiments exactly.

Made it to the gym.

I fell asleep putting my daughter to bed last night and I woke up so groggy, completely forgetting where I was…it was WEIRD!!!
I had trouble sleeping last night and insomnia crept in somewhere around 330, grr.

Thank goodness pulling movements don’t hurt!!!

Tbar row-
3x8x35

DS row
3x8x55

rear delts on an incline
2x12x5s

Got an appt with my new Doc this afternoon. Feeling optimistic. May this be the start of getting better and not feeling like a zombie…yay!!

I learned that I have a couple friends who also had that crazy bitch Nurse lady and also switched but not before filing complaints, to this Dr I’m going to now.(who say that she is awesome, btw)

Push-ups are a closed chain exercise whereas bench (db or bar) are open chain. That’s why it hurts less.
I find doing incline (on a very steep incline) is kinder on my old shoulders so I’d agree, stick with the inclines for now. And do dislocates (use a stick, towel, or whatever you can find). They do help.

Good luck with the new doc!

Hey, don’t knock power walking! That’s quite a healthy activity! Eggspecially when you have sore knees and such. But good on you for sprinting, glad nothings hurting

Can’t help you on the career choices. I’d last in the military/navy for a hot minute before I did something foolish - it all sounds good to me!

Nice training, MiMsy! That 6ways sounds like a little killer! Bet that burned up the shoulders well and good.

Success!!
That is how going to the Dr should be.

She was very kind and took her time to listen to my questions. I even asked about my knees. I got sent to get an x-ray because I have fluid on my left knee? I don’t know how she picked up on that, but she asked if my left hurt more…(it does)

I’ll be getting a letter in a few days to set up physical therapy.

She wants me to get a full panel of blood work FIRST to see what things look like and then I’ll be put on a low dose of meds, re-test a month later and go from there. Which is what I wanted all along…unlike crazy nurse lady…

And this Dr will treat by SYMPTOMS, not blood values…

I don’t even feel like I need to request to go out in town to a specialist at this point.

YAY!!! Great success!!

Go MiMsy, Go MiMsy, Getting Better, Already

Cal- honestly I feel inclines in my pecs more than flat pressing anyway, so meh. I’m not sad about it

Maschy- thanks…ya, I like the 6 ways…picked it out of John Meadows’ numerous crazy moves. I’ll stick to the sprinting as long as I can. <3 it!!

It’s funny, in the Drs office she was pushing and tugging at my knees asking if it hurt, which it didn’t but now they do
weird.

I get heart palpitations now. Just really random. Even as I’m sitting here. they feel chaotic…like signals are firing from different places. She said we’d keep an eye on it. I just noticed it while we were in MI. But it’s happening more regularly now.

can’t wait to be healthy inside and out! I’m too young for this crap…

I bet Maschy and I would have been on Star Search back in the day

That 90s video is a must see!! Isn’t it interesting those dancers weren’t all stick thin either…hmmm

Me too (about the inclines, that is). The lower part of the pec is hidden under boobage anyway.

I’m glad you’ve found a good doctor, finally! Keep us posted on that.

Haha, that 90’s vid ROCKED! I like the “Warning” that said that they are all experts in their craft, as they’ve all had at least 45 minutes of dance training.

Happy news about the Doc, yay mimsie!

That is WONDERFUL NEWS about the new doctor. I really, really hope she can help you feel normal again. Although, perhaps Betty will never be “normal” and that’s just the way we like it!

awesome video

awesome news on the Dr. front too.

wow,you have a whole lot going on lady–career and military and school decisions, health stuffs…incline pushups that i’ve yet to try :{

I offer the best of wishes and vibes mama–you are so strong in so many ways

Glad you found a Dr you can trust. I forsee a lot more progress for you (ok, its not great grammar but you get what I’m saying), it makes a world of a difference.

Really psyched about the good Dr, makes a world of a difference. Milk her for all she’s got! just teasin
