Last time I was looking on healthcheckusa, they were requiring a prescription for the tests she needs, Hal. Has that changed? [/quote]
Really!? thats horrible.
I have used them in the past and they never required a prescription however the last time I used them was two years ago. Let me check over at a thyroid board I used to frequent.

According to the ladies there no prescription needed still for Thyroid Panel II
"The healthcheckusa test name is Thyroid Panel II. Definitely put the code in (12345) and it’ll be a little under $80. Well worth it and much less than anywhere else.
You can look on their site and see where a lab is near you. In many places it’s Lab Corp."
Thats from this month so it should be good. Do it Betty
And in further news yes if anyone wants a pirate armchair doctor lecture on Thyroid I’m your lady. Went through frakking hell and had to become my own advocate. thank god I did.
Okay last post of my carpetbomb here.
MiM don’t do elimination diet don’t do anything drastic. Get your bloodwork and get on some thyroid hormone. I am ninety nine percent certain that every single thing you think is wrong with you (except maybe hay fever) will be resolved once your thyroid is optimized. Please trust me on this! Years in the thyroid patient community I know.
Share more share more! I don’t want to go through hell…feels like I already have anyway. But I’m tired.
And I want to look HOOOOT like you!!!

Wow MiM, I’m getting caught up tonite in your log. My heart goes out to and your family, cuz we know ain’t nobody happy when mom ain’t happy. Hoping everything turns out well and the thyroid and meds will be under control soon!
Hugs and girl crush kisses!
oh man…betty ![]()
Thyroid shit is CRAZY. I’m glad we have our Hallowed to help! EVERY person I know who has thyroid issues also have a frustrating and awful story about how long it took for them to get the dx,rx, and tx they need! I’ve got my fingers crossed for you that you get the stuff you need soon :{
OH! and HALLOWED *sighs and whistles holy shit you look hot! ! ![]()
Thyroid treatment in the UK is just as shitty as it is in the US. Doctors will only test for generaly thyroid level unless you push them, and they are reluctant to prescribe meds unless it’s really bad.
I hope you get this sorted - it’s little wonder you feel bad.
Hang tough MinM

Also, you can try rhodiola. I take one pill a day and it helps with cortisol and relieving stress and just makes you happier for the day.

I’m on the Rhodiola train as well. My life is pretty damn stressful these days and I’ve found that it is helping. I take Rhodiola upon waking and Relora before sleeping to try and manage cortisol (and I’m losing inches).
MiM, from what experience I have had with military docs, keep being aggressive.
Yay for the run!
Hugs and hang in there.
yes, I’m grateful for the help here!!!
I’ve only felt this bad within the last few months. I think Julia’s whole debacle signaled my thyroid to go crazy. Or maybe I have felt this bad and just didn’t stop long enough to pay attention.
I really hate feeling like. The fatigue is almost debilitating and makes quality of life not great. But if I stop moving I’ll gain 9000 lbs. Can’t wait to feel what it feels like not to SUCK!
I feel like going back on fat burners for the boost…probably not a good idea though?
Hey you fellers snuck in…
Thanks!!!
tell me more about this rhodiola and relora…where do you get it at, etc??

lots of pretty cereal medical talk happening in here lately… you guys are using a lot of big words and since I dont understand them, I’m going to take them as disrespect lol ![]()
Oh so MiMsy is on the 5/3/1 train huh? How are you liking it so far? (i know it hasnt been long at all yet) The trip looked fun too. Nice hat ![]()
EDIT: I didnt see which assistance template you decided to go with? Are you doing the “original” 5/3/1 or any of its variations? (5/3/1 for powerlifting ect…)
Playing with new gym stuff is SO FUN! Way to go on the cardio.
