Betty Strong

aww an evening of peace.

Hubby found a camping spot after all. Kinda stressful last minute type thing but he really wanted to go. I think he was more excited about buying camping stuff

I went on a walk just to get some blood flowing and to not feel so guilty about the ginormous bowl of rice and chickpeas on the menu in a bit

Betty is getting a butt…

(finally!)

.

Looking good MiM.
Yay for camping!

A butt?

Looking good in those shorts! And yay for your butt. Nice hams too.

yes, a Butt. Quit being a butthead, Chris.

Thanks Cal!

I’m sitting enjoying a quiet morning. Hubby might stay an extra day/night over there. But he’s going to come back to get me so we can go boating. He took the explorer and I’m too chicken to drive the Jeep across the bridge, lol.

awww, crappy pants…

Hubby talked me into driving over there in the jeep. wahhhh

I’m a chicken but need to get over it. (pardon the pun) My family awaits and will not go boating without me!

The kicker is that he will stay another night if I grow the balls to drive over+bring more food, haha.

Have a good day!!

^totally worth it. Get your head together and do it.

OH okay, well you got one. And…don’t be a chicken, just drive really fast, get it over quick.

Betty, I hope the drive wasn’t as bad as you thought. Yay for quiet time!

yeah. hope you remembered to feel proud of yourself once you did it, too.

Nice pics and yeah on growing a bum, I’d like more too and thighs.

How does one grow a bum?

I made it back!

Goofy pic for as proof!

I was terrified driving that jeep!

But we had an ok time. I was nervous going out on the water like that. I’m more of an inlet/calm river kind of person. Not a huge open bay with other motorboats and big waves kind of person.
We came back home then went to another friends cook out.

Yesterday hubby went to go play with the boys; paintballing. Managed to fuck up his knee pretty good. He thinks he may have tore something.

I’ve dug out all my thyroid books and I’m convinced that my poor thyroid is sick which is causing all my other issues. Turns out anxiety/anger/depression are all common symptoms of low thyroid.
The trick now is going to be in finding the right DR/practitioner with enough experience and patience in testing and finding the right balance of meds/supps. And one that is on the list for insurance purposes.

I might start taking some stuff while I wait cause I’ve read it helps. the list is long but I have a few of the things already!
VIT D(got it)
St johns Wart
5-HTP
Co enz q-10
Amino Acids(got it)
Multi (got it)

I’ve also been reading that it’s best to stick to a fiber based/low cal diet with less meat and dairy. More fruit, beans and nuts And to avoid veggies from the brassica family. And if you do eat them, cook them very well and eat very little. WHAAAT???
What is there left to eat??
lol

I actually wouldn’t mind walking on the vegetarian side. It just seems complicated/exspensive?

Veggie??

Before hitting the gym I would have my protein shake…is whey protein safe?

For lunch I would have had mass amounts of chicken…

Snack of cottage cheese

Dinner: STEAK! Broccoli!

It’s a new way of thinking…but a way I wouldn’t mind exploring as long as it’s within our means, yanno?

My mum has low thyroid (she’s on meds) and her doctor advised her to avoid broccoli as well. Frankly I think this is a crock of shit.

Check out this for a guideline: Thyroid Problems

It says to avoid those veggies if the problem is severe but if it’s only mild I’d just get rid of the refined flours and whatnot and see what happens.

Incidentally, my mood improved a lot since supplementing with Vit D. I used to get mild SAD but that no longer happens with the D supplementation. I take 5000iu a day in winter, but now it’s summer and I’m outdoors a lot, I just take it a couple of times a week.

Looks like you had fun on your trip.

Hope you have some luck with the thyroid issue. :frowning:
