I am currently debating running Beginner Prep School or 5/3/1 for Beginners as I’ve had a back injury and haven’t been able to lift or do any serious conditioning for 2 months. I dropped my training max down to 80%.
My question is do you guys think it’d be permissible to run either of this templates with 3x10 FSL for the supplemental lifts rather than the 5x5 FSL?
I should not my goals are to get back to a good level of conditioning and work capacity but also would like to have an element of hypertrophy. Absolute strength is not as high a priority at the moment.

Doesn’t make any sense at all. Keep the stress fairly low after a back injury and build up capacity through barbells, walking, weight vest work and assistance.
