Wait.
Are you telling me that I answered thousands of questions first via pm, then in my thread… While, had I simply ignored them, people would have figured shit out by themselves?

Fuck my life…

Good to hear though, hope your training is going well!

Hahaha, too funny. But ya know, I think most people know what to do in the back of their head, it just feels good to have a knowledgable person verify it.

And yeah my training is kicking ass, went to the most insane gym today too (probably best in Illinois).

That’s a bent row?? What are you trying to accomplish exactly? From the video it looks like some sort of shrug; the barbell is only moving like 4 inches up and down your thigh, and you’re using a lot of momentum to move the barbell.

Lower the weight and learn how to do the exercise properly. Something more like this (without the pauses).

LOL I thought this was a joke thread when I watched that video, OP your form is horrible. (serious)

You really need to ask yourself do you want a bigger back or ego, because right now you are just building the latter. Knock a plate of each side, use full ROM and lower the weight with more control. Right now it’s like doing a DB curl and stopping at 30 degrees, whilst using your knee to help kick it up.

Careful guys, CC’s gonna get mad at you cuz you don’t agree with everything he says…

CC’s just on his period.

Here we go again…

Aren’t you the guy making a fool of himself in every thread about how much people lift on the big 3, among other things?

Oh my, did I hurt your feelings by basically saying that as someone who has no actual experience on the subject, your opinion is kind of useless?

Why don’t you work your way up to a big back first AND THEN tell people how to get there, rather than just regurgitating the usual internet bs everyone’s heard a million times?

Do you also tell brain-surgeons how to do their job because you’ve read some entry-level biology book at some point, and your uneducated guess is that they’re doing it all wrong?

C_C I’m saddened you didn’t even mention my attempt at humor.

@ retards talking about “form”- use whatever form and weight will make you Grow! There is no “perfect form” in bodybuilding you stupid fucks. Use what works, discard what is useless.

Sorry, your post must have appeared late or something… Same for some of the other posts, I make a reply and realize that suddenly, 3 posts up, someone new has chimed in. The server is clearly an agent of Chaos.

I do find some humor in the fact that every small and weak guy always focuses on the least important aspects of a lift first, while having no clue that there is far more to, say, rows, than keeping your upper body at the exact same angle throughout etc…

For all those who gave sincere advice about form and technique, thanks!
I’ve switched out the rows for now, and will be giving Hammer Strength Rows a shot.Works better with the overall program I’m on.

Next time I rotate rows in I’ll do them dead stop I think, and a bit slower. 15 reps in under 30 seconds is a bit rushed, as some of you pointed out.

Reading into the motivation of why I do the lift as I do…If you’re that good of a psychic, you should set up business.

I I haven’t replied to most of the posts in the thread because I have better things to do than argue.

Whatever I or others say, you still won’t be satisfied because the premise of your post is not to discuss or put light on another aspect of something, it’s finding flaw so you can feel good about being an internet expert by regurgitating theoretical knowledge.

I’d rather listen to someone who has made it work for them, like Cephalic_Carnage who, lack of pics aside, seems to have true training knowledge that comes from experience and building a huge fucking body. Results are hard to argue with.

Robert Burneika. Pure ego-lifting, as you can see his fast, small ROM form clearly limits his ability to put on muscle.

Maybe I am an old-timer but I have always felt it was best to do rows more parallel to the floor (this was the way almost everyone did them before Yates came along). Generally speaking, I have found the greater range of motion= the more difficult the movement= more gains. Its like comparing half squats to full squats or rack pulls from the knees to conventional deadlifts. This is why many bbuilders choose dbs over bbs…greater stretch. In our gym we have a name for partial movement lifters, they are universally called “short strokers.” Not saying partials are not useful, just commenting on the benefits of full R.O.M. exercises. In this vid you can see Arnold doing bent rows on a block to increase his R.O.M. even greater than from the floor. But be prepared to decrease the weight by close to 1/2 of what you typically use.

So assuming the correct position you just pull the barbell sliding to your legs towars your abs, focusing on bringing the shoulder blades together and also retracting your shoulders the most u can. Also keep gently the belly button inside to activate your TVA and protect your spine!

This is a correct Barbell Row.
Kindof negated any reasoning by the whole suck in the belly button, activate TVA thing. Don’t you realize that by shortening the lever arm of the musculature (sucking in your gut), you are REDUCING the capability of the abdominals to influence spinal stability, and in fact, you are actually inducing more instability in the spine?

Plus the fact TVA has negligible absolute influence on spinal stability.

(and now I wait for the typical defensive reaction from someone blinded by bullshit training jargon and pseudoscience)
you don’t suck  , you GENTLY keep the belly button inside  This should not change any natural curvature of the spine, it remains alligned bro  also before gently holding it, I am use to take some air into the abdomen to add stability to the spine. All the core is activated

This is a Row, pendley in the specific case , but this is more like the proper form  …except for the position of the neck that should be mantained natural

Long legs, short torso.

sir , you need to grow spiritually
everybody at this world can express his own opinion and this should not affect what other think or do
we are what we think , so it is very important to keep our mind free from other people influence, or life shows up to be different to what we really want
there is nothing to defend. Universe is infinite and so our possibility. We do not have to protect anything because there is no limit to what we can achieve from a position of awareness and connection to all that is :))))))))))))))))))

Have you not heard of something called, YATES ROWS? Jesus man where do you people come from.

CC why are you giving out such horrible advice in this thread? Come on man, you are better than this, aint nobody growing shit rowing like that LOL.

It’s no wonder you see such absurd numbers being thrown about the internets by not very big guys when this is how they lift weights.
