-I busted balls all week so I could have today off from work so I could be rested up to squat tomorrow. Got a call last night to bail hay so there went that idea.
-upped my carbs to 300 and lost some weight, gonna try and get to 325-350 and maintain there for awhile
-I loved what Ryan said in another thread about being lean, it went something like “when you have a 6 pack being relaxed, drop 10 pounds, then you’ll be lean”
-it’d be legit if we could all have a weekend collab sometime

1st: In for hybrid program

2nd: Dude, I can’t even count how many times this happens. ‘Planning’ for a big workout guarantees something will inevitably fuck up the previous day/morning of loo

3rd: I’m so down for that haha

Agree that the hybrid program sounds interesting. Now let’s wait for the Wendler disciples to come condemn Chobbs for wrecking 5/3/1… Even though Carter and Wendler share basically the same principles.

You know, I really only see that in the 5/3/1 forum now. And here and there in Beginners, but that’s usually when someone actually wants to do something pretty stupid.

Are you thinking something like 5/3/1 for most of the main lifts, but BBM style accessories?

It’d be tough to get everyone together but it would be a hell of a time for sure

@kollack and @lorez
I really like Carter’s principles on upper body training but I feel like Wendlers ideas on lower body training works with me and I like the structure so it would go something like this.
Monday:
Incline/Bench/…the usual 5/4/3/2/1 then get 15 reps then move up
Db bench/incline 5x10
Vertical barbell press 2x8
vertical db press 5x10

Tuesday:
Squat 5/3/1
Deadlift 3x3 @ 275
Front Squat/High bar 5x5
or
SLDL 4x8

Wednesday:
What I’m doing for back right now

Friday:
same

Saturday:
Front squat 5/4/3/2/1 then set rep recrods till 15
more back work

Edit: Exactly the same what I’m doing now just with 5/3/1 squat.

Bad jm press

Aren’t your elbow supposed to be basically completely tucked?

I watched a video once, but I can’t really remember how this lift worked. I’ve just generally preferred cable tricep stuff anyway, for what little of it I’ve done.
