Attn. Coach Davies; in-season hockey training

Coach Davies, I am playing in a Junior A league(not one you have heard of, its new in Michigan) and I want to increase quickness and explosive strength. Is this possible to do while in-season? We practice Monday, sometimes Tuesday, and Wednesday. Friday is a light skate, and then a game on Saturday and Sunday. I have your book and would like to incorporate some of the exercises into an in-season training program. I have a 36lb kettlebell, a 10lb medicine ball, a sledgehammer, going to build hurdles, a jumprope, a gym membership, and I need a wheelbarrow and a sled. Thank you for any help you may provide.

I am currently doing coaches alpha program for goaltending. I also play games once a week. I have to say, playing the game is tough. I put my training first (no offense to my teammates, but the level of comp. is not up to mine), the game to me is just some active recovery. Using one of coaches programs and doing all that practice probably won’t be easy. Email coach and see what he says.

Be happy to help - we would need to have you on a specialized program at level 1 to suit in-season work. Lets discuss. In faith, Coach Davies

Ok coach, lets discuss. I have all the time in the world, I eat good, and am very highly motivated to succeed. I just don’t know what to do so that I won’t be too fatigued to play the weekend games, so your help is greatly appreciated. I want to whoop some major ass, though.
