I get it, everyone is different. I was prescribed 100mg/wk of Nandrolone to go along with my 180mg/wk of Test-C. I have read nothing but Deca dick, deca dick, deca dick, deca dick. Scares the shit out of me. Dr said they don’t see that until guys are over 200mg/wk. What say you guys? My hard-on is super important to me and at 46 would hate to lose it. But is 100mg enough to do it?
At what level does the level of DHN get too high? How much nandrolone is necessary to raise your prolactin to a level that it will mess with your erections?
You’re asking a question that is by definition unanswerable. But I’ll tell you that at 100mg/w I had an even bigger sex drive and no change in the quality of my performance. So I wouldn’t worry about it at that dose.
What were you prescribed Nandrolone for?
Shoulder pain.
Thanks for reply. I’m hoping that’s the case for me
Nandrolone is not a cure for shoulder pain… what do you have? Torn cuff? Impingments? Sure it can cushion joints but that’s temporary. Deca dick aint worth the risk and any real doc won’t prescribe deca outside of HIV or wasting diseases. Run…
I don’t believe this to be the case. There are a myriad of anti-aging/rejuvination clinics that legitimately prescribe nandrolone in hope to provide therapeutic relief for patients. Some firmly believe the compound is adequate as adjunct therapy to manage chronic joint pain, granted only the most progressive of medical professionals will prescribe this. It certainly isn’t the norm, but these people do exist.
Most doctors won’t prescribe TRT unless TT is below like 100ng/dl nowadays, and even then it’s typically like 5mg/day of Androgel… so, define “real doctor”.
@unreal24278 You are correct about clinics prescribing it and my clinic is one of them. My “therapeutic” dose caused a year of sexual hell. Totally not worth it and if they are prescribing it for “shoulder pain” I believe this to be irresponsible.
One that doesn’t make money on the drugs they prescribe. Let’s be honest or rather I will tell you my experience. I’m not on TRT because I want the gym benefits. I’m diagnosed hypogonadal. My scripts come from a real endo at Moffit cancer center. He’s interested in my health. Conversely I’ve been to TRT clinics because I wanted more T. That’s where I got the deca. At those clinics it’s mostly ARNPs and Mds with no background in this health subject pushing T and other drugs for profit. Just my 2 cents.
Edit: I would elaborate more but I’m on an iPad and typing is atrocious. My statements get autocorrected and typos still remain all over. When I’m using this infernal thing it’s to painful to reply in depth.
This is how I get my scripts too. Legitimate Andrologist, not at a clinic/centre. Due to legitimately diagnosed hypogonadism.
If you saw the clinics down here in FL and what they do/prescribe you would be aghast.
??? Examples ???
I mean… at least it’s prescription and not from the black market (quality control, no chances of trace toxic heavy metals, bacterial contamination, I assume you’d get periodic monitoring of bloods etc)
Examples…
- Putting guys on T that are not hypogonadal
- Prescribing supraphysiological levels to old men
- Over prescribing AIs due to item 2 above
- Handing out drugs like Deca and Anavar just because people ask
- They don’t let you fill scripts you have to buy drugs ‘through them’ with heavy mark ups
- They also push their own brands of vitamins, supplements etc for a huge profit
- Try to charge you 2-4x the cost to supply pins and ancilliaries
Yes they do blood work but only half the docs know as much as the frequent posters on here regarding hormones. Defy Medical is near me and its one of the few that I believe have qualified docs running the clinic. They are still a profit by drug clinic but their prices are fair and their practices are more in line with standard medical community.
Defy is who prescribed the nandrolone to me. I told the guy on the phone whom I always do my consultations with that I read these forums and I see a lot of Deca dick threads. But are all those deca dick guys on way more than 100mg?
ALL doctors are for profit. Whether it’s defy making 300% on meds or your GP charging your insurance company 300%+ of what they truly should charge because you have a head cold.
I am just interested in anyone’s results here on nandrolone at 100mg/wk. I get that everything comes with a risk. Driving to the store, first date with some gal, posting political opinions on social media, etc. I and just trying to asses the risk at 100mg/wk.
That saddens me to hear that. I’m going to stop recommending them. I had more respect for Dr Saya…
I also had some good advice provided by Dr Crisler… may he RIP
Ok so I can’t remember my exact dose honestly. It was more than 100mg but less than 200mg. I ran it along side my TRT. I had some knee pain and elbow pain. Want to know why? They over prescribed me AIs. Then instead of fixing that… they prescribed Nandrolone. The Nandrolone f’d with my mental state and also caused ED issues. I’m sure it was a perfect storm as I was also crushing my E2 with an overprescribed AI. That’s my personal experience since you asked.
After being on here for years and reading a ton of articles I’ve learned better. I’m now on solo T… a dose that requires no AI. My cholesterol numbers are better, my joints don’t hurt.
Appreciate the response. I don’t take any AI’s even though they prescribe it to me “as needed”. I take the 180/mg/wk of Test-c and HCG to keep my balls from shrinking. My last consultation I was telling him how when I work out I have shoulder pain and that since being on T for a year and a half that although I look better and feel better I still have a Small layer of fat on me (I’m 6’1, 192 ish) that no matter how well I eat I can’t get rid of. That’s when he suggested the deca. Said it helps with joint pain and will help with burning off more of that last bit of fat. Now understand I don’t mean fat as in out of shape, I eat mostly healthy and work out 4-5 days a week. I mean I just can’t lean out anymore no matter what I do. I’m prob around 19% Bf.
So… when we say supraphysiologic doses, what are we talking here? 250mg-300mg 400mg!!!
Not that I’m… contemplating perhaps visiting one of these clinics now… or anything
Wait… you said old men (imagine giving some obese type 2 diabetic 65 year old man 500mg/wk… or even 200mg for that matter… wouldn’t pan out well…)
What about young whippersnappers with verified hypogonadism?
Don’t know where people get off saying this is fat, perhaps it isn’t lean within bodybuilding standards, however it’s still far better than the average populace. Couple that with a high level of muscularity and it’s fine… 19% isn’t fat by any means, it’s perfectly healthy. Unless you’re an athlete, prepping for a photoshoot/competition or something I (in my opinion) see no reason to dip below 10%. You’ll still look more ripped than 99.9 percentage of other dudes on the beach at 10%
Rant over
There’s a particular set of risks associated with 19 nors that are heightened. I’ll make a short post on it tomorrow, but not too long as exams are about to start so my focus needs to be situated elsewhere
19% is fat for guys who lift for the purposes of aesthetics. For a powerlifter 19% would be, in some cases, a little lean. There is a wide range of what we consider “fat” within the subset of the gym-going public. Your point is valid when compared to the general population. But I’m at 18% now (because my cut is going horribly please kill me now) and I think I’m morbidly obese. I’m more embarrassed at 18% than I was at 20% three months ago. Why? Who knows. Outside of the medical guidelines (which I think you agree are a useful tool for general ranges) we judge ourselves within our own heads. And that’s where most of the danger lies.
