I did this today. Lift with a partner take the e-z curl bar and put your 5 rep max. Do that 5 times and after that have your guy spot you until you reach 10-12. He should use 1-2 fingers so the bar just barely comes up. I did this after squats, and deadlift, and my chest, and arms were about to blow up they were so tight. I highly recommend this method. Gets me pumped just thinking about it.
Whaoh! Great tip! I can’t wait to go try it out later! I hope Thibs, Poliquin and Waterbury get wind of this exciting new technique!

This is a joke, right?
You’re deffinately a troll, every post makes you more idiotic than the last.
I knew it. All 3 of you guys , Austin, buckeye and stu, you guys are so hardheaded and stuck in your ways. I know you guys probably think Deadlifts, power cleans, squats , 24/7 is the way to go, but sometimes its good to do curls for a little instant gratification. Workouts can be fun too.

LOL! You are too much dude!!! I actually don’t think you’re a troll and believe it or not I do believe you may get your head screwed on straight one day. You just somehow have it in your mind that nobody ever actually lifted weights before you started.
I believe Arnold described something along these lines. Basically passing a barbell back and forth with a partner (not really a spotter) doing sets of curls I think he described it in his encyclopedia. It really wasnt a major component of any routine, more of a “have fun with it, add some competitive and push yourself” sort of thing.
I am doubting triple-10sets was referring to that judging from his posts to the forum so far.

I don’t know why you would say that about me based on a single comment.
I also don’t really understand how one gets instant gratification from curls. Personally, I get gratification out of breaking previous PRs. That’s what motivates me to get into the gym every day. But I guess everyone has different goals…
Does this get you swole?

Yeah, I just got done with some instant gratification by getting a 7th rep for squats with a weight I previously could only get 6. How do ya like this guy, he calls me a wuss and a girl comes over here and tunes im up. Fer shame =]
I guess I should get ready for mind blowing pumps.
Thrashing my log book on deadlifts and incline bench got me pretty pumped today.
I thrashed my previous squat record…Pumped out 365 once. Couldnt even get it the first rep, but my partner told me the second time to go down slow and explode when I got to the bottom…Boom I got it !!!

For Shame, completely ignoring the great Good Morning workout your ‘spotter’ got in. I believe he said it was around 365.

Is that you in your avatar? If you’ve read half of this kids posts you’d be flaming him, too. Unless you’re a troll as well…
That being said I can’t believe we’re all still responding to the OP’s threads…
