This is only my 3rd week of training and eating more. I’m the guy that was only eating maybe 2 fast food meals a day. Now, I’m eating 3 full meals and 3 snacks in-between.
I’ve been reading threads about people eating 6-8 meals a day. Are these ALL full meals? My snacks usually consist of 3 or 4 spoonfuls of calorie-dense peanut butter and 2 or 3 glasses of whole milk or some fruits and nuts. Should I be eating 6 full meals instead of the 3 meals and 3 snacks??

There is no such thing as a “snack” in bodybuilding. Yes, most of my meals are real meals aside from the occasional meal replacement shake. I also would never waste my appetite or ability to get more food down by wasting my time “snacking” on anything. Yes, sometimes a protein shake is considered a meal.
All my meals are very similar in size, each one between 600-800 cals. Nuts and PB will work, but you need a protein source in there as well. I personally like to carry around whole food with me, like chicken, but I’m sure protein shakes every other meal would work too.
Every feeding I have is a meal. Or, if it’s not solid it at least contains enough calories to be considered a full meal. I would say that 2-3 8 oz glasses of whole milk is 300-450 calories, and then with a couple tablespoons of PB it could be considered a “meal” because you’re putting down 600 or so calories.

A tablespoon of peanut butter has 100 calories. A cup of milk has about the same. If you’re downing about 3 of each…that’s 600 calories. I would consider that a “meal”, not a snack. In my mind, a snack is no more than 300 calories.
Just take your total calories and split it up into 6 meals. So, if you plan to consume 3000 calories a day then that’s 6 meals containing 500 calories.
Except breakfast, all my meals are around ~500 kcal, which is in fact pretty small compared to a normal meal size, but when you eat every 2-3 hours it works very well.
