According to those there yesterday, at the BPC British Championships, Andy Bolton set a new raw WR of 432.5kg (953.5lbs) in the deadlift.
There should be a video of it up soon, as the owner of my gym (hirepgym on YouTube) films all the BPC events.

Awesome.
That would mean he only gets about 50 pounds out of a suit. That’s like 5%. Did he squat and bench raw too or just pull?
I’m not sure on all the details yet, the video is on Facebook now, hopefully results will be on Powerlifting UK soon, probably PL watch too.

Apologies if that link doesnt work for you.
my god, he made that look so easy.
anyone else think he had another 25lbs in the tank?
Holy fuck
Can’t wait for his challenge comp, it’s gonna be a great show if everybody shows up as promised.

At least another 20, lockout may have been a bitch but still.
beastly
Monsterrrr
I think this is a situation where we can put raw in all caps. Andy Bolton pulled 953.5 RAW!!! Fucking disgusting, that man is no man, he is something more.
Okay, not trying to take anything away from this, as it was obviously a godlike lift, but… why does it look like he’s not locking out? I noticed that on his 1000+ pound lifts as well, it always looks like he doesn’t lock his knees out.
Someone aware me. And don’t just say “it’s 1000 pounds lolol” please.
He says on Facebook he’s only pulled 310 in training since his injury. Wtf.

I think most the the huge guys are given credit for flexibility limits. To me it looks like most massive deads are not completely locked out.
What a monster lift! Made it look easy and like he had more in the tank… Also after he completes his lifts and stands back up he looks like he’s standing in the same position as his lockout… maybe thats just how he looks? (if that makes any sense?)
.greg.
Having met him several times, you’ve got to believe me when I say that he looks small in the videos compared.
Hopefully this will silence a few critics. Just a singlet, socks and slippers. And 953.5lbs. Down to KK now! Must be some guys competing at the KOTDL meet next year wondering what they got themselves into!
Suprised PL Watch hasn’t picked this up yet…

I thought so too at first, but he is actually locking it out. He’s just got a big midsection that makes it look like he’s not locked out from the front.
About a minute in shows from the side, he is just barely locked out.

i agree, if you look at a lot of the bigger guys it seems they are not locked out but when you are so big your lockout is not going to be quite as defined as some of the smaller guys. you have to watch how they walk up to the platform or how they walk away from it to get a better idea of what locked out is for them. after his last dead on this vid, look at how Bolton just naturally stands, his legs and especially hamstrings are big enough that it makes it look like his legs are perma bent. this is the case with JF Caron a few weeks ago, look how big his legs are and how it looks when he walks up to deadlift and after the deadlift.

Ridiculous… Absolute behemoth.
