New All Time Squat and Total Records

News just in from powerlifting watch…

Donnie Thompson smashed Andy Bolton’s 2,806 total with 2,855. It breaks down to 1155/900/800.

And Vladislav Alhazov squatted 1,250 to break Mike Miller’s previous record of 1,220. He also totaled 2,805 which is only 1lb behind Bolton’s highest ever total and the previous best ever!!

Insanity. I can’t wait to see the videos, from I read the judging was super strict. On powerlifting watch they said only 30% of the squats passed on the first day.

Where does Donnie Thompson train?

Columbia, South Carolina

Donnie is a freakishly strong dude. Fuck- has anybody else benched 900 in a full meet?

I guess I should start training with Kettlebells now

It is a crazy world when an 800 lb deadlift is your worst lift. I think 3000 will fall in the multi-ply federations this year.

I don’t think so. Frank did 926 but that was in a bench only.

Oh and lets give it up for Shawn Frankl. He benched 800 as a 198 on his was to a 2,405 total!!

Bolton should bring his bench up! If he does, say hello to a possible 3000 lb total.

I wonder what his attempts were? Doesn’t he usually pull in the mid-800s? Did he try 845 for 2900lbs?

'KINELL!

Go this from the site. Apparently, he didn’t deadlift 800. Great feat nonetheless.

Ok, slightly off topic…did Laura Phelps set a deadlift record too? She was supposed to have a 4th attempt, but I didn’t see it.

Sorry I think he plans on keeping it right where it is.

Vladislav Alhazov’s 1250:

Hard to judge from that angle, but it looks good.

Obscene numbers!

Koing

I’m going to have to say wow…

squatting 1155 then benching 900… could use some work on the deadlift… sad that he benched more then he deadlifted but DAMN thats just insane.

and 1250… oy.

notice how the top squats are done with that leviathan suit? jeeeeez

What’s sad is how ridiculous that comment is. You do realise he pulled 795lb right? And now has the highest total ever. And that legitimately makes him one of the strongest people ever? But his deadlift still needs work? What a fucking joke.

Mental lifting. Andy Bolton says he’s going for a 2900lb total this year. Obviously he needs to bring up his bench from a weedy 320kg or whatever it is. I’m 15 and I lift 340kg for 10 reps.
