Anabolic/CK Diet people - PLEASE give me some advice!

I have been on the Metabolic Diet for a little while (it got a bit screwed up in July because of so much stuff going on, but I am trying to get back on track), and I am looking to get maximum benefit from it.

My question: How do you coordinate your workouts with your eating plan? DiPasquale and MacDonald make the point that it is best to do heavy lifts relatively soon after the carb-load, say Monday and Tuesday. They don’t treat this as an axiom though, and are not definitive about it. They also mention that it may be wise to do another carb-load on Wednesday morning in order to improve workout ability for the later days.

I want to ensure that my muscles are not being shortchanged, but at the same time, I would like to give my body at least one day of rest before working out again (I do a 2-day rotation, and each one of those involves very taxing exercises). I could do the Wed. morning carb load, but this doesn't appeal to me (I don't like to consume any sugary junk food, and I don't see myself gulping down 8 bananas before going off to work). Really, the diet would effectively become a 2-day anabolic, carb-load, then 3-day anabolic, then carb-load as opposed to the basic 5-day anabolic, 2-day carb load (this basic method is simpler if you ask me).

I am in the mass-gaining phase at this point, for whatever that's worth. Also, do you find it difficult to put on the mass at very low levels of carbs? Right now, I like to be around 10% (carbs as % of total energy) during the week, which comes out to 60-100 carbs/day. I suppose that I could perform a big workout more easily on, say, Thursday, if I have been eating more carbs during the week.

Thanks in advance for any insights that you may have.
