Abused Bulldog: Just a grumpy SOB

This should be fun to watch. What type of suit are you looking at? I think training some in a suit will save wear and tear on your hips. If nothing else, just have some fun with it. You don’t need to rationalize or justify how you decide to train.
True .I dont realy need to justify my training to other. Just myself. But I figured what the heck. Also the whole saving wear and tear thing is the main motivational factor in my decision. More so my shoulders then the hips. Ill be hitting 40 next year so the whole concept of longevity is starting to be a concern to me. I just relize its silly of me not taking advantage of gear. i mean if it allows me to go exra heavy from time to time and saves me wear and tear on my joints Im there. As for the type ? At this type im just looking at a Inzer " Standard Blast Shirt" and a " Z -Suit" . Just something basic.

( Semi off topic) Part of the problem ive seen as a youth coach. is alot of these kids that come from single parent homes. Either one the father isnt taking a active roll with there child or the dad is a complete waste of oxygen. Maybe some might dissagree with me. But I feel that there needs to be a adult male present in a young boys or girls life. Boys more so.
I will second, third, vote, and pass that motion. I really have a problem with women who INSIST they don’t need a man to help raise their spawn. That seems to be the biggest part of the problem.

I know some ladies will call me low brow or old fashion. But I agree.Im not say they cant. But is it optimal? Case in point. I hug around with a rougth crew as a teen. But iI stayed out of trouble. Why? Because the fear I had of my Father. It wasnt fear of my mother.I knew if I fucked up Id have to face the wrath of my father.
^^^X2

If the gear lets you lift injury/pain free then go for it.

I too was raised in a home where my mom’s biggest (and most effective threat) was “Wait until your father hears about this.” While I don’t hit my daughter, I’m not afraid to draw the line in ways that my wife just won’t. I think it helps that I’m physically strong enough to drag her out of the room and hold her in one place until the screaming stops. (Note: This is limited to dealing with my daughter

We only have one child, and at this point it’s become clear that that’s going to be it, so my biggest fear is raising a spoiled only-child who gets whatever she wants. Hopefully knowing that we’re at risk for that will be enough to keep it from happening.

Ahh, Bulldog. Good for you in giving gear a try.

I am one who has competed both raw and geared. I don’t find that going geared messes with my raw lifting at all. But there are some technique differences. You’re smart enough to figure that shit out. Looking forward to following your new adventure.

Ive been under the weather all day since all I had on plan tonight was assistance work I skipped training tonight. My left shoulder and groin muscle feel beat up.

Thats the idea. If adding it in from time to time allows me to go balls out even when things might not be 100%.Im there.

Yeah, from what im finding is from my reserch is . That most of the geared lifters that are weak as piss Raw , are the ones who spend most of there training in gear with out doing much Raw work and depending to much on there equipment.

congrats on finally seeing the light. I would recommend going something a little better than a Blast though. A basic single ply Titan Fury or F6 is a better way to enter into it. A Blast will just leave you disappointed.

Good luck with geared lifting. I find it fascinating, but I don’t have the time to do it right now.

We’ll be needing evidence in the form of video and/or pics of shirt rash…

Thanks for the advice Pete. like ive said my goals are still to hit big numbers unequiped at meets. But the reality is I need to take steps to make sure that I can stay healthy long enougth to reach those goals. Ill look into the fury and F6. At this point I just want a basic shirt that will give me extra support from time to time and one that doesnt have a huge learning curve if you know what I mean.

Well. Its over. Me and the wife have talked about it. We are done with youth Football. We are tired of all the hypocrasey. Where willing to sit back and let the next wasve of people to come in and run it into the ground. Weve have to many adults coaching who are more worried about wins then doing the right thing. Tonight was a eye openner for the wife. All I can tell my wife she left it beter then she found it. Until the newbies tear down her hard work next season.

i feel your pain…im still a little undecided on my envolvement but tonight stung alot

this picture sums up my feelings about are youth Football program right now.

STUNG ??? Hell I thought we where doing the famous scene from Deliverance!!!

Im so glad I finally got to see the true colors of some of people involved with the program. You know what half the people can go to HELL for all I care. Oh yeah, “where all about the kids”
. BULLSHIT!!! And all the parents who are more worried about there kids not being able to go to a BS tornamentt. Lets just say that they can kiss my ass also. For Gods sakes! There taking kids down there with as many as two “F” on there report card. what worthless type of parent puts a stupid game over there childs grades. Great another generation of welfare cases. Way to go parents!! Way to teach your kids whats important in the real world!!! Like I said im done with the hypocrasey of all the BULLSHIT!!!

Either should work well for that. The cheap stuff is just worthless, and way to uncomfortable for how worthless it is.
