Things will get better. Saw your 2010 goal on the other thread. I think you’re on a good course for making it.[/quote]
Thanks man.At this point I feel if i dont hit it, I will be damn close.
I’ve noticed the same thing. As I improve my mils, I’m getting a nice carry-over. A lot of the same muscles, different plane of movement. Same for dips.
Went ahead and did some stuff to make up for yesterday.
standing ab crunches with bands a few sets
Prowler: 90lbs x 5 x 40yards …The gravel path is starting not to work out.
I feel the need to add some Farmer Walks to my program ![]()

Are you nuts. That street has more traffic then mine.No ill have to use it in front of my house. The gravel path is breaking down and the prowler is getting harder to push. Its just turning into a freaking plow.

**** I had no plan to do 7 reps on the axel bench. As of yesterday I was only going to do the called for reps. But,I got one hell of a “Mean on” going on.Im realy jacked about the RPR.Ive got a feeling things are going to be real interesting when I switch back to a normal bar ![]()
Ive gone and done the math. After this cycle ,I can get in two full cycles of 5/3/1 and a part of one going into my next meet in October.
Why not build a peaking cycle from 5/3/1 ? 2 cycles back to back. first one regular but without the all-out sets. Start the second without deload and use 80%, 90%, and 100% for the last sets and go all out on the last two weeks.

You are right. A smart man would do a peaking cycle. That’s the only bad thing about 5/3/1.Its a great over all strength program. But it needs a few tweaks to make it great for raw powerlifting.Wendler was going to put out a manual to cover that but it hasent happen yet.

You can tell a guy is a older lifter when they value a P.R. over sex.
