Ab Wheel Roll Outs

They totally trash my shoulders, I was thinking of getting a longer bad and handles that a allow for a neutral grip, but until then I’ve stopped doing them.

There’s videos on form that you can use to stop that. Basically packing in the shoulder or depressing the scapula. You’ll feel a contraction in your lats when you roll out.I

i dont know how you guys do sets of twenty. my my workout goes 10-12, 8, 5, 5. then i do partials or negatives. i do that about twice a week unless i forget. it really tears my abs up

I enjoy them and use them occasionally. Put’s a nice stretch on the abs and lats.

I use them in conjunction with other ab work though.

Good info here, definitely going to keep doing these. That Ross video was incredibly impressive.

I have never felt any discomfort or stress in my shoulders when doing them, only lats and abs.

Also, my “lower” abs very rarely are sore the next day, but today they are killin’ me!

Pretty much the only gadget seen on tv that’s worth a damn. I don’t have one though, I just use a barbell and plates on each side.

If you want to increase the intensity, add some minibands to pull the wheel away from you.

Anyone who can do it standing with minibands wins a prize.

As in loop the bands around the handles and anchor them to something? I can do standing rollouts, I might give these a try.

I was actually doing rollouts this morning after my HFSW and this laughed at me saying something about tv gadget crap so I gave him the wheel. Basically he ended up on his face.

Badass vid. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve thought about buying the Ab Wheel. It’d be great to have one of those for a quick home core workout. At the gym, I use a barbell with bumper plates. Usually 3x 20. And then other core exercise to finish. It works great.
