Great Job! You have been working hard…and Happy B-lated Birthday…
Thanks everyone!
I guess I got a slow start(two years or so, haha)
But things are going in the right direction…
Fat loss isn’t easy, but it doesn’t have to be as complicated as I was making it…If I was to tell someone just ONE thing, it would be: BE CONSISTENT!!!
Pick something and stick with it…I spent too much time reading and comparing what everyone else was doing, and trying to find that one magical program that would ‘finally work.’ Well, it’s not out there, haha…

That’s the secret to success in just about everything, I think.
yes, but you have to want it bad enough to stick to something and work HARD…people complain all the time about how unhappy they are with there body, etc, but they don’t want to put in the WORK…but I dont want to eat chicken and broccoli…you mean I can’t drink soda anymore? I’m sure I will hear this a lot as I start working…
But the cool thing is that I can relate…I’ve been there and I’m still getting to where I want to be…
You have to face the harsh harsh reality, that everyone elses food is NOT YOURS…
Ok, back to me…In 6 weeks time these are my new stats:

under chest- 38.5-35.5
upper arm-15-13.5

If I did my math right that is 15 inches, GONE…off my body, never to return again! And still shrinking weekly! The ten lbs I lost isn’t too shabby either…I’ll publicly announce my weight when I get to that magic number…I’m predicting next week!
hey woman!! i haven’t checked in on ya all summer. and now that i finally do i see you are kicking some SERIOUS ass. hot damn!!! u are doing phenomenal. keep working hard and u’ll accomplish everything u set out to. great, great work!!!
ur son is freakin adorable too.
Thanks! Much appreciated! ![]()
And yes I have pics, haha…maybe I’ll post them one day when I get to my first weight goal which is about 175-179…20 some pounds to go! ![]()
Good for you! Perhaps I will be inspired. So far I have been having difficulty getting back into a routine, with James home again.
I feel ya there!
My hubby is gone for another week…but we’re used to it! I run a pretty tight ship while he’s gone, so I know what its like when he comes home and messes it all up, haha…
What is it that you are having difficulty with?
yippee, page 43!
When do I get to start a new log? ![]()

I was talking to a friend today who was complaining about getting fatter but admitted to eating crap. I asked “why are you eating crap” and the reply was “because I love food”. You put it very well…crap food that is eaten by everyone else is NOT YOURS if its leading to a body you don’t want!
That is alot of inches. Super job!
Like you said, having him home messes up my routine! Not that I mind, of course, I love spending time with him, but I was on a pretty strict routine. He just started back to work, and will be starting back to school in the next few weeks. Sadly, our schedules do not mesh well. Plus there is the whole “newlywed” factor. We tend to distract each other, a LOT. ![]()
And we have SO much to do–I have an entire household of goods, as does he. When I moved up here in April, I put the majority of my stuff in storage. Now that we are married, we have to go through and consolidate and discard the duplicates. Right now we have way more stuff than we have space! Since I work an hour from home, my time is fleeting and precious. Not sure where the darned stuff GOES.
As far as the eating goes…I have a really bad tendency to over-nurture when it comes to food. Food is love and all that jazz. So I have been making his favorite comfort foods, which is doing neither of us any good. And I have always been a comfort eater, and with all this stress…yeah. Not a good combination.
mmm, comfort foods…
I know it sounds sucky, and not as comforting, but maybe you can find a way to make your favorite foods a bit more healthy? Another option is to be good during the week, plan your meals etc and relax things during the weekend, and some of the foods you enjoy? I know for myself, totally restricting things is out of the question…I know if I ‘behave,’ during the week, then I’m only 5 days from a bowl of ice cream or dang chicken wing, LOL!!
sounds like your in a trap right now, but you already know you need to get out before you get completely stuck…so how are you going to get out? ![]()
Haha, we’ve been married for ten years…two kids later, we’ve got alot of crap too! Thankfully when we moved we got a 4th bedroom where all our crap is,
We have to go through it all to make it into a guest bedroom for the MIL coming next month! eeek!
Hey thanks Kimba!
Whenever I’m about to sneak a chip or a bite of my kids food, I say to myself,‘would a skinny bitch eat this crap?’ Nope!
haha…
My behavior was not matching my goals, and I had to admit that to myself before I could truly make progress…I suppose I had to learn the hard way!
well…
It’s been two years in the making, but I FINALLY broke through the 200s!!!
198 as of this morning…WAHOO! Might as well come clean…I started the year off at a whopping 228…I gained about 8 lbs between thanksgiving and the New year ![]()
Going to keep dieting down to 195, to account for the lb or 2 I will gain on my diet break…then it’s back on the diet wagon I go…my goal is to get to 170-175…at my height frame, I find that is the most manageable weight for me…it’s just been a matter of GETTING there…and the real challenge will be STAYING there…
I’m mostly thankful that I have maintained my strength through this craziness…can’t wait to be done dieting, so I can find me a Strongman Comp to train for!! ![]()

Hey - Congrats! How long are you planning your “diet break” to last? I’ve heard anywhere from from 2-3 months to 6 months to allow your body to get accustomed to your new set point.
MinM
that is great progress, nice work.
kmc
way to go!!! that’s an awesome barrier to smash through.
u’ve really taken 2009 by the horns.
keep working hard and never look back. =+)
Nope, the “diet,” I’m on is pretty aggressive, and da rulz state that you take a break for 10-14 days, eating at maintainence, but only diet every 2-6 weeks until your next break…
So probably two more rounds of this shhhhheit and I’ll be done and in maintainence land…we’ll see how 175 looks when I get there though ![]()
Today was my first day calling people to schedule orientations…it was kind of nerve racking at first, because I’m not really a phone person…guess I gotta get over that!!
2 of the people refused-they joined back in July, and no one had called them yet!
1 didn’t speak very good English
And I have to call 2 back in the morning!
off to a slow start, but its a start! I noticed a couple that has been coming in, and they live in my neighborhood. It may be good to introduce myself, especially because they appear to not really know what they are doing…just wondering around from machine to machine.
Other than that things are good! Down to 197 now!! I want to get to 195, and take a small break from dieting…just a couple weeks to reset everything…
