It’s funny that I was just thinking about my future job situation this morning…
cause as soon as I walked into the gym and swiped my card(Jackie the director/PT lady) was standing behind the desk and asked what I had going on and if I was ready to work soon! She said there a ‘couple opportunities,’ opening up, and she thinks I would make a good addition to the team! Of course we couldnt talk much, with my son jumping around like the village idiot(sorry Coby) so I’m going to email her and find out more details!
I’m scared now, lol…
It feels like there is still so much to learn…and you know when your goals and dreams are actually happening it’s kind of overwhelming…whee! Also, I kinda wanted to lose an additional 10-15 lbs to feel more comfortable…but maybe there is still time!![/quote]
Congratulations! Keep us up on what’s happening with that.
I talked more to Jackie(the director of PTS) this morning while at the gym…I am now the ‘manager,’ of the orientation log, and responsible for calling people to set up times to meet with yours truly.
She wanted me to have this responsibility to get my feet wet, and get used to talking with people one on one, and of course to potentially score clients…
She wants me to ease into it, so I have a mock orientation where I am pretending to join the gym and she’ll go through what she does…then she will schedule a few orientations herself with other people and I’ll tag along with those as well…
Then I’ll be on my own!
I need to get insurance now, business cards, and a day planner!!
I’m down another -2lbs this week! People are FINALLY starting to notice, and I got my first ‘wow, you’re really starting to slim down,’ comment at the gym the other day…it feels good when others can SEE my hard work.
And I really notice it in my back, which is where I hold a lot of fat unfortunately…all the pull ups are paying off, and I have LATS…who knew?!

Im wondering if Im already at my magic number…Im not even going to weigh myself on my birthday though…why ruin it and be bummed out if Im not…and its just a number right?
Training was decent…I could feel the effects of not eating hardly yesterday though…but I think I zapped this cold from coming on…I forgot how sensitive I am to sudafed…it totally killed my appetite…

yeah - focus on how you look and feel not on the scale numbers, you’re doing the right things and seeing results just keep up the good work!
I said I’d update this thing when anything exciting happens…
Well, I celebrated my big 3-0 on Monday! I thought I would be excited to jump on the scale to see if I had hit my b-day goal weight, but for the first time in a long while I didn’t care to see what the scale said…and why ruin my day if it didn’t show me what I wanted to see? I’m still going to weigh in next week after the b-day goodies have had a chance to burn off because curiousity has the best of me
In a few more weeks, I am going to take a break from dieting, and switch to a 5x5 program to gain back some strength…I’ve been YEARNING to lift some damn weight…
Although, I’ve learned not to neglect the endurance side of the house either…I’ve been working in the 8-12 rep range for a few months with lots of supersets…
Here’s a looksey at what I’ve been doing…
Training today:
Just swinging by to say hi, and bumping myself
I OFFICIALLY start work next week!
Its going to be crazy juggling everything…I just hope to get at least ONE person a month, sheesh…one of the other ladies really has her shit together and she is pretty much my mentor…shes a single mom of 4 kids and I have no idea how she juggles it all…we have a training/chat session this Sat…
