765x6 Deadlift

It’s funny how the worlds biggest pullers stiff leg their deadlifts, yet everyone still considers ass down and squatting it up to be “good” form.

yes hes stronger then most everyone, but yes I would rather take someone lifting 100lbs less with no straps, no suit, and no hitch.

Damn that’s some impressive shit.

I don’t think his deadlift form is too bad there, or at least you can’t tell from the angle, save the little bit of hitching.

That being said, I agree with all of Blake’s posts here. Maybe some immature meatheads think it is hardcore to tear your body apart in the quest for those PRs. I see plenty of people who get really big without doing this, and I try to keep things in perspective. So personally, I’ll take being safe in my training and treatment of my body. And I think I’ll be healthier and make better progress in the long run as a result anyway

amen!!!

Damn close with 805 on an axle. Shows that using straps give you shitty grip right?

haha

Doesn’t matter since the guy will OBVIOUSLY have a broken spine within a month by lifting like that. Its just not optimal form.

Yeah he should lift with perfect form (which means go up in weight tell it seems “hard” and take 50lbs off) and maybe he can get a good 315lb deadlift one day.

I think some people are just “born to pull” so to speak. Some people are able to walk into a gym and rip up 400 lbs the first time they ever DL. A month later they are pulling 500. I’ve heard all sorts of talk about short torsos, long arms, blah blah blah. I find it interesting that every “natural” deadlifter I’ve ever met pulls just like this guy. I’d be willing to bet that when he squats, he all but lays his torso on his thighs. All the while, the rest of us struggle to keep our chests up and our hips down. I’m no kinesiologist, but I’d be willing to bet that people who do this have some sort of structural similarities in their low backs.
