you feel you’re making as good of gains doing DC as you were doing a more traditional powerlifting style program?
I want a 600pound squat!
I would imagine Hanley’s using “teh sarcasism”
You imagine wrong, belive it or not!

Hahaha it’s the 10kg of weight gain, stronger abs and stronger quads/hammy’s that’s driving my squat at the moment!

Count me in too.
I’m hoping to hit 600 really really raw by the summer. (that’s no belt, no wraps, no suit)
I’m at ~575 now. Gotta fix this tendency to fall foward coming out the hole, happens when I get above ~520.
been workig with SS bar, also driving back of the neck into the bar when coming up.
I’m at 573, damn kg conversion. Want to see who can get to 600 the quickest? We are neck and neck.
When did you get 575? I hit mine the first week of 09’.
I currently at a raw high bar atg squat (no belt, no knee wraps) of 507lbs. The bodyweight is 246lbs. I have previously competed in some IPF meets, but recently I have developed a total distaste for the equipment, so I only lift raw.
For me, the journey is the goal, and altough it is fun to be strong, I don’t think I love the lifting anything less when I did a 130kg squat than I do now with 100kg more. For me it is a lifestyle. I work very hard, and over time it will give results. Keep on hitting the iron hard brothers!
PS: This is no bashing of the gear-lovers. It is just that I have found what’s right for me. We all have our thing, right?
easy 620 with just briefs and safety bar(ss yoke bar), 580 with just knee wraps but with safety bar, both to a parallel box. pretty sure if i go just down and up with no box and barbell i’ll be over 600, need to max out soon though and see where i am at. going to attempt 800 equipped in a few weeks and maybe 600 something unequipped. 187bw, 181 weight class.
Several weeks back I squatted 606 in belt/wraps. (It was more like a 600 lb good morning- got way bent over) I figured I could, I just never really tried a 600 lb raw squat before. I usually put on briefs at 400-500.
I got a quick question for you guys. If you guys hit 600lbs and that becomes a new pr for you. How long do you guys deload afterwards? Only reason i ask is because i just started maximal effort and staying in between the 1-3 rep ranges and i’ve just hit a new pr of 485 1 rep max. But i dont know if i should deload or keep training heavy. What kind of things do you guys do after a new pr?

Ok, that had the opposite effect on my ego. I feel like I am surrounded my a bunch of a-holes, because I can’t keep up. Yes, I am a whiny puss and I am so f-ing jealous.
On a serious note: any of you guys have vids, post 'em up or post the link. I can’t surround myself with strong guys at my gym, cause there are none. So, I have to rely on strong guys on the inter-webz.

Well I’m getting ready for a meet…so I’m not really going to deload anytime soon.

is it safe to assume that NO ONE in here squatting 500+ is using jim weider 5/3/1? if this is true im going to switch to sheiko in a second
Hanley was doing 5/3/1, idk if he still is, and Jim Wendler himself I am almost certain squats over 500, and follows that kind of training method.
