55 Down 30 to Go

Last nights workout was great! All those carbs from the weekend really helped out, I increased weight on all lifts.

Squat
275 4X6
more like 6X6X4X3

Rom DL
185 4X6

leg extensions
140 4X6

leg curls
80 4X6

calf raise
bw 4X15

My squat form is coming along, I’m still not getting ATG but below 90 every week is an improvement so I’ll just keep at it. My back held strong which I’m certainly happy about, I did wear a belt but that was just incase.

Over all great WO, I’m one sore MOFO today.

Dinner I had a grilled chicken salad.
PWO 1 serving of Surge.

5:15a
2 HRX

5:45a
2 scoops Low Carb Metabolic Drive
1 fiber
1 Superfood
2 fish oil
1 multi
1 potassium
1 magnesium

I don’t think I’m going to make my NEPA walk today, my legs and arse are freaking killing me! I haven’t been this sore in a long time, tomorrow is going to really suck, I’m usually more sore 2 days later than I am one day later.

Time to get back to hard core and stop this half assed pussy diet. This morning my weight 225.4, I doubt I actually gained weight I’m thinking my bowel issues from last week drained a bunch of water out causing the loss, either way I need to crack down.

I’m going to start back up with my fitday log and will continue to post here but I need to watch the calories a little closer than I have been.

So the feedings for the day.

5:00am
2 HRX

5:30am
2 Low-Carb Metabolic Drive
usual pills

9a
1 1/4lb turkey burger with a pinch of cheese no bun
15 almonds

11:30a
1 1/4lb turkey burger with a pinch of cheese no bun
15 almonds
1 cup broccoli

2:45p
2 scoops Low-Carb Metabolic Drive
15 almonds

OMG!!! I think I over did it a bit last night, ok maybe a lot. My back is so sore right now it hurts to breath, I just about sneezed a second ago and thought I was going to pass out.
I wasn’t strong at all I did manage to move the weight up, a little high on most exercises but the intensity was really high.

Incline 175
6-6-4-5

Bent row 115
4X6

Decline 205
6-6-5-5

Straight arm pull downs 100
6-6-6-5

close grip V bar pull down 140
6-6-5-4

toes on bench push up
4X10

I’m just not strong anymore, most of these weights I was throwing around in high school which is most depressing however I haven’t consistantly trained in years and being on a serious calorie restriction isn’t helping. Soon I’ll be eating bigger, hopefully then I’ll get strong again.

Dinner last night was lame, we haven’t gone to the store recently so dinner was what we got.

PWO
1 serving Surge

dinner
2 turkey burgers
6 medium brussel sprouts

pre bed
1 tbsp PB

This morning was the usual.

I don’t know what your total history is but, strength is relative, sure when you were younger and training hardcore you may have tossed those weights around… but now with a job and your focus not being entired geared towards lifting and what not you lift a little less, either way I think you are -strong-

Thanks man, I needed that. You’re right it’s all relative I suppose. I read some of these guys logs and see them squating 400+ DL’s in 500’s and think man I’m way behind but then realize there are college athletes, power lifters and body builders on here that bend the strength curve. For Joe average lifter I guess I’m in the hunt.

I burnt out early from work yesterday to get an estimate on having my old stereo system installed in my new car, lets just say it ain’t getting done anytime soon. The point of that is there was no walk yesterday. I did play 9 holes last night, shot a pour 45.

224lbs Saturday another pound lost! WOOOO WHOO!! Still pretty slow.

This weekends diet wasn’t stealer, I again need to watch it on the weekends but portion control was in check, didn’t eat anything too bad. I did get a ton of exercise, well tons of NEPA and little HIT. Played 36 holes this weekend, Saturday was in a monsoon, just stupid to even be playing but we made the best of it. Last night played volleyball for an hour, that’s some good work running in sand.

I may have stumbled onto the training opportunity of a life time, we’ll see if it pans out, if so I’ll fill you all in, it’s a pretty big deal. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Don’t keep me waiting… what is this opportunity… you fucker.

I don’t know what happened last night, I got home and had a serious crash, I tried my workout and my body said no. I passed on leg day, went upstairs and fell asleep, slept from 5:00p to 8:45 got up had dinner went to bed at 10p and work up on my own at 4:15a. The night before I hadn’t slept much so it had to have caught up with me.

Dinner:
8oz grilled pork chops
1/2 cup broccoli

Don’t sweat it man, that’s your body telling you, “No”… I know plenty of people who say, “I was dead tired, and could’ve slept, but I busted my ass hard at the gym anyway.” You know the people who go to the gym fasted and what not.

Get your rest, recover, make the next gym trip actually positive by practicing injury prevention…

You’re in good shape.

Til I weigh in on Saturday… then you’re effed.

That’s kind of what I thought too, I actually listened to my body instead of forcing myself and taking a chance of injury.

We’ll see what the scale says, I’m certain to pull a couple of pounds this week, I just feel it.

Midweek weigh in…221.8!!! WOW!!!

Last night I did 20 min of extra HIT, little running little walking and some sprinting thrown in there as well.

Dinner:

10oz steak
1/2 cup shrooms

prebed
1 tbsp PB

Woke up at freaking 3:45a!!! No idea why just did.

4:15am
2-HRX

5:30a (little late I know)
2 1/4lb turkey burgers
2 fish oil
1 multi
1 potasium
1 magnesium

Couldn’t choke down a shake this morning, the thought turned my stomach.

Yesterday I read 3 chapeters in my ACSM resources for the PT book and another one of the other ACSM books, a long way to go.

221.8 thats great!

I think you’re finally seeing HIIT paying off…

It’s funny how were staying ~10lbs different… I was 232.4 this AM, I know I’m not supposed to weigh in mid-week only on measurement days… but weighing in doesn’t make me stop losing weight…

If I break 225 this week… I’ll be grinning ear to fucking ear… my goal was to hit that by Sept 12th… I think I should start setting my goals to exercises… like 10 pullups… or the ability to bench my BW… which as I shrink becomes more and more feasible…

Thank you! Yea I’m pretty sure the HIIT is helping break the funk I was getting in.

You’re certainly pushing me, especially now that you’re V dieting, I gotta work harder or you’ll blaze right by me
Seriously, last night I thought about skipping the run then I thought about you out there busting ass so I laced up the running shoes and off I went. Keep it up man! We’re pushing each other.

BTW haven’t heard from my buddy yet, I’m getting excited, must remain calm.
