Just got done with my HIIT run, good lawd it’s a hot mofo out there today. Ran the stairs again but was careful not to over do it since it’s 100+ heat index today. I did get in 9 runs up the stairs in under 20 min but I’m sweating like a water buffalo, time for some water and protein.

Wasn’t feeling squats last night, holding the bar killed my shoulders and it felt like I was going to drop it so I did deadlift instead and I’m glad I did.
Form was spot on, so much so I decided on my 3rd set I’d go really heavy (for me) I banged out 305lbs for 8 like it was nothing but couldn’t manage another set with that weight? Pretty sure that was mental so I dropped back down to 255lbs and did that instead for my last set.
The rest of the workout was what it was. I really need to find another leg curl machine, mine just does nothing for me.
I tried lowering the weight and really going for controlled power but that didn’t get it done either. I’ve adjusted this thing 6 ways from sunday and just don’t like it. I also need to rig up some type of weighted calf raise.
Partner donkey calf raises.
Bend over a preacher curl setup, stand on a step up riser on the balls of ur feet with your heels hanging off… have a partner jump up on your back and do calf raises with them “riding” you.
Looks super gay. Works real well…

sugar free marinara
Slice the zucchini into strips like noodles, steam them. Prep all other ingredients as you would normally, mix together. I ended up with mushy “noodles” that pretty much disappeared when I mixed everything.
Basically it made a turd but I won’t try it again.

I was stuck between 238-243 for a month before I started the V-Diet.
Getting stuck sucks… maybe you adapt much faster than I do…

I cannot figure it out either. I really do not want to drop more calories from my diet, I’m already around 1800-2000 per day, don’t want to further F up my metabolism. I drink tons of water a day, get off my ass for no less than 30min a day, work pretty hard in the gym and almost never cheat. The interesting thing is I’m losing inches still.
The lightest I’ve ever weighed as an adult was 205lbs in college so I know I can go lower obviously. Prior to this thread I was stuck at 233lbs for a long time then I lost 13lbs in short order so maybe I’m cycling?

I straind a muscle in my back doing bench press, not sure what I was doing. It hurt like a bitch. I guess it was more a cramp than a strain but I stopped my bench after the 3rd set.

I again tried a new bent row that actually worked better however I’m not feeling anything today. With the lighter weight I got a good squeeze at the top.
I talked about my ghetto olympic ring set up, this kicks ass! I love doing exercise on them. I still need to play around with them to figure out what all I can do.
Over all this workout was not effective, I just have a really hard time training my chest with a bar. I’m still figuring out what will work for me. It’s weird growing up I never had problems training my chest but as I get older it’s become a chore.
I’m having a rough mental day today, that sesson left me a bit disheartened and confused.

This afternoon I’m enrolling in pinnacle career institute to get my personal trainer cert NSCA. I started studying for the ACSM and found either I’m dumb or the books were not very well written because some of the stuff I just wasn’t getting so I’m going to get the education. I’ve wanted to go back to school for the longest time and didn’t know what I wanted to do until now. I’ve loved the iron since I was a kid but until finding T-Nation only had magazines to learn from, now I’m totally emersed in the game, can’t get enough, total OCD! Wish me luck, all I know is I freaking HATE my career/job and cannot wait to get out of here and into something worth doing.
Didn’t lift last night, spent to long enrolling in school and since I’m going to be away from the gym the rest of the week whats it matter.
Dinner last night was an experiment. I’d bought some prepackaged fish awhile back so I grilled a couple small fillets on the Foreman added a side of broccoli and found this old bottle of raspberry chipotle sauce in the fridge and dripped that on the fish, I gotta say it didn’t suck.
