Martin Rooney
Controversial Stiff Leg Deadlift
Martin Rooney Deadlift, kinda stiff legged?
Did you do this program to by the way?? I really can’t find it anywhere. I think the setup will work fine for me, im not as strong as it will get to stressfull on my cns anyway… Im really a beginner, just working out since november 2015, This will be the first serious program for me… So it is also a bit difficult to sort it all out completely right for me.
I have not. I’m traveling so I can’t pull up page numbers right now. You are referring to the beginner prep program right?
Not sure about prep. It is the program with the 2’nd exercise on one day only on mon and fri in x5 and the first in 531… It is described in the 2nd edition. I understand bro… but thanx for the advice in anyway, do u know about the assistance a bit?? I want to do it completely correct so yes… But SLDL,lunges are for me a dangerous exercises(really.) It is not a excuse but i need to watch out with these
Ah, I’m sorry about that. I was thinking of the new Forever book. I’m not as familiar with the one you’re talking about because I haven’t done it and haven’t read my copy in a while.
But for assistance, stick with bodyweight, dumbbell, and kettlebell exercises.
ok bro!! Havént got that book. just beyond and 2nd edition.
Might-
push incline dumbell press
pull: dumbell row
core/legs: weighted situp
push ups
curls
goblet squat
dipping
pulldown
weighted sit up
Something like this maybe? Havent got any kettlebell in here:
That looks a lot better. Remember to keep your focus and energy on the main 4 lifts.
Thank you!!! I couldn’t find any good examples of what I was visualizing… didn’t try searching images though. That’s what I think of when I hear stiff leg deadlifts.
Jep i will! thank you :)))) I will read the books endless times anyway again. Just to be sure to do everything correct.
In this discussion i see i am really to unknown to talk over the SLDL and assistance exercises etc… just cause i simply havent a clue really. It s very difficult to know how to actually train, i did routines like Lyle mc ultimate bulking routine etc… But i never did really focus on pure strength, was plateuing on the bench allready for maybe a small year or so though. First 1.5 years i learned everything about nutrition, protein synthesis, rest etc… But now i like to grow really stronger instead of just bigger. And i try to correct my form now from oke to really good good till i start wendler Really stoked to start this new routine, will start it after my holliday in June. My girlfriend is now training for her first competition in powerlifting, and gets much help from her trainers but i need to do all the research on my own… So still quite difficult. So im happy that this forum exists… My English is quite bad by the way(Im European!)
